when I made that comment Liverpool had already won the Carling Cup and were in the FA Cup final.
to do the domestic cup double is impressive. I would swap that for a top 4 finish this season. How about you?

Me? When judging who manager of the season is i would base it off the following criteria: the style of football played, honours won and resources of the club relative to league position/honours won.Red Member wrote:when I made that comment Liverpool had already won the Carling Cup and were in the FA Cup final.

For me, a CC win and an FA Cup final would not put Dalglish up there as one of the best managers taking into account all the circumstances. In fact i would put him right down there as one of the worst. Horrible performances and home form, and nowhere near good enough for a club with the resources that Liverpool has had.
For me, it's between Mancini, Rodgers, Lambert and Moyes.

Re: Manager of the year
if you are going to mention Moyes then why not Wenger?
Moyes has had a decade of outright failure
at least Wenger has achieved something EVERY season

They finished above their rivals. Once again they were faced with financial difficulties but still finished in a decent position in the league. Much like Arsenal they had a bad start to the season but managed to finish fairly well. I've been impressed with Moyes' managing and the way his team plays.
For Wenger, he's at a much bigger club so the expectations for him to win manager of the season are greater.
