Ibrahim Affellay

Post by Nos89 »

As its critical that RVP stays, it might be worth signing his good friend Affellay. He's got a few dutch championship under his belt and has spent the last year out with a knee injury. He's struggled at Barcelons before he was injured and would now be further down the pecking list. His situation kind of reminds me of Marc Overmars, and we all know how that worked out. Is he woth the chance?

I think it's pointless buying a player who will be on treatment table more than RvP

Huge gamble; still at Barcelona but has been out injured for nearly the whole season.

If we are to sign a similar type of player with pace who can play in different positions, I would rather we sign Hoilett.

Big fan of this guy in the limited few appearances I've seen of him. However if we buy anyone, we have to buy steady players first - players who are injury risks can't be a high priority.

I think he could be a good signing for us. He and RvP understand each other very well.
I've seen Afellay play a lot at PSV and from what I can remember, he wasn't injured that much. This season was the first time he was injured for a long period.

i used to like the look of him from the brief glimpses i have seen on him, but if he is injury prone we need to stay away, we have enough of these
