How would the Mail know? Nobody fucking knows bar those who were in the talks.
Just wait and see. People need to stop speculating.

Not completely sure about the reliability but, Newsnow has rumours on it's site regarding Bendtner to Dortmund £2.5m (snigger), and Vela to Espanyol £3m.
Re: McDowell's VANITY 'Rumours' Thread
Not really. Up until June Nasri's agent was putting about he wanted to stay. Arsenal obviously didn't match Nasri's financial demands, and he chose to go to City (over United as well due to wages)As much as I despise him didn't Nasri want assurances from Wenger and the club to see if they would strengthen?

a few other papers are reporting the same too.rigsby wrote:How would the Mail know? Nobody fucking knows bar those who were in the talks.

clubs and agents always talk, sometimes its disinformation, sometimes not.
I also saw a report that RvP will sign a one year deal, giving Arsenal one more chance but also the right to pick up a fee next summer for him.

Craig Gordon has been released by Sunderland.
Perfect back up for Szczesny.

IF that is true , it just ain't good enough, so sell him now and let's get on with being a mid-table team, till wenger fecks off and we get Pep Guardiola in 2 seasons time.clockender1 wrote:a few other papers are reporting the same too.rigsby wrote:How would the Mail know? so you'd rather AW didn't go all out to appease RvP and buy quality and challenge manchesters next year ?OneBardGooner wrote:

More injury prone than Diaby.Played 16 games in 2 years. You're right perfect for us1989 wrote:Craig Gordon has been released by Sunderland.

And if we were looking for a first choice keeper I would agree with you but for me Gordon is a perfect fit for the club - experienced international who won't come in demanding to be first choice and he was a keeper we were heavily linked with a few years ago before price tag scared wenger off

Re: McDowell's VANITY 'Rumours' Thread
You appear to have an 'interesting' way of interpreting what people say, so No!, that is NOT what I said!...BUT "IF" Arsenal ARE serious about challenging for the Prem title, then RVP would have signed a new contract by now because he would have some decent players to link up with, and why? doesn't he!? because tight arsene has bought shyte (Gerv & Mert) kept the shyte (diaby, squilacci, almunia, djourou, flappy, bendy, and vela et al) instead of offloading them and using the money spent on their wages to get 2 - 3 Quality players in....clockender1 wrote:so you'd rather AW didn't go all out to appease RvP and buy quality and challenge manchesters next year ?OneBardGooner wrote:

To be trying to get RVP to sign on the dotted line within a time span of 3 days (before RVP goes off to join Holland) seems somewhat unrealistic, in that Arsenal know they had to be able to convince him - and there are 2 main ways to do that
a) Wage raise! fair enough by today's (ridiculous) wages standards that's justified, knowing how important he is to the team
b) Get some Quality players into the positions we all know need fixing (Striker, CB, Holding Mid-fielder and a G.Keeper)
and why they haven't done the latter is because AW seems intent on sticking with his 'project'' which is now in ruins...

Re: McDowell's VANITY 'Rumours' Thread
That's what I was thinking...the rumours about us buying Vorm were totally unrealistic, as Vorm is a better keeper than shez....at least at the moment, and had we bought Vorm...shez would be off....so Gordon seems like an ideal solution...augie wrote:donaldo wrote:More injury prone than Diaby.Played 16 games in 2 years. You're right perfect for us1989 wrote:Craig Gordon has been released by Sunderland.
