CL Final - Bayern or Chavs?

Teams that defend well and have a good keeper win trophies. Chelsea defend as a team and therefore can overcome superior opponents. Where as we try to outscore teams sunday league style and that doesnt work.

Having that, our defending is by FAR the worst i've seen from any top football club.

Do Bayern defend as bad as we do? Do they not play good football?

Just because you pass the ball it is not an excuse for the shocking attitude our coaching staff have to defending.

I'd rather play like Bayern with balance but with a positive intent rather than kamikaze style.

Bollox, they are on the decline with the team they have. Look at how poor they were in the league this year, do big hitters really finish 6th? I think not. They we very fortunate to win tonight and in the other rounds, everything went in their favour. They have no business winning the trophy with the team they have.

But they did and that is the point! They are the first London team to win the European Cup. That can never be changed now. I know there are some Arsenal fans that think we have won it 15 years on the trot but actually we have only qualified for it. Apart from the money, we might as well never qualify because we are never going to win it with this manager. We fell over the winning line against a very average West Brom last week – does anyone really believe we would have won that game tonight. I remember the last time there was a final where people talked about a team that "had no business winning the trophy". It was a small team with average players that went on to get relegated in the same season; I think they were called Birmingham City. And what exactly went in Chelsee's favour tonight? The suspension of their captain? The injuries to key players? The fact Bayern scored with 5 minutes to go? Or is it that they were well organised, had a game plan and have players that fought to the death. Nasri was right about players at our Club being happy to pick up their big, fat salaries in return for giving nothing back. A very sad night in the history of our Club.

The only reason we are happy to be CL is the money that the club gets from it. Every other club wants to be in it to try and winnbut not us. You can bet that if we lost to West Brom the firstvthing we would hear is that we have lost an important revenue stream, no mention of being the best club in europe.

yeah i agree with you, i will never wear that crest and i was against the move to the grove.

the fans are the soul and the class of The Arsenal, our custodians are temporary and we'll outlast them.

it's never been the easiest to be an Arsenal fan, the media hates us, the FA hates us even more - and we always do things the hard way, but that's our lot in life. the joy outweighs the pain though and for every paris there's been copenghagen anfield, OT etc etc.

The sad thing about tonight is how far away Arsenal are from every lifting the holy grail. While you have to admit that no side will ever have the luck over the past 2 rounds that the Chavs had, but tactically under Wenger we are a million miles away from ever being able to produce defensive displays and tactical pragmatism that RDM has installed in Chelsea over the passed few months!

We need to step up to the next level both personnel wise and tactically, 3rd in the League and no trophy is a poor poor season and not a success!

that's only happened since 2008.

and it's not that we haven't spent money, it's how we spent it - seriosuly, did we really have to spend 24 million and 150,000 a week on Mata for him to score two less than Walcott (though two assists more admittedly).

Wenger and the board have effed up,but its not too late to fix it. two more good signings and we'll be back in the mix neat year - neither manchesters proved unbeatable did they ?

our defending is shit and our central midfield one dimensional and pedestrian.

whether we fix that with or without wenger we will fix it. may be until 2014 though
