While you have to admit that no side will ever have the luck over the past 2 rounds that the Chavs had, but tactically under Wenger we are a million miles away from ever being able to produce defensive displays and tactical pragmatism that RDM has installed in Chelsea over the passed few months!

We need to step up to the next level both personnel wise and tactically, 3rd in the League and no trophy is a poor poor season and not a success!

Yep, you'll never be able to replicate the luck that has accumlated for chelsea for their whole campaign. They are nowhere near as tight as they were under Jose.

But you can defend you can win this cup. Bayern should have won it, and they beat a very good madrid side to get here. We could never navigate the obstacles both chelsea and bayern have had even if we did have better players.

Fucking hell people need to calm down. Worst night in our history? come on mate
I dont particularly hate Chelsea tbh, although maybe if I knew more of their fans I would. Unlucky for you lads that do.

That being said I think congrats to them are in order, Arsene Wenger I hope you seen that tonight and Chelsea/City in recent weeks when it mattered. THAT IS MENTAL STRENGTH. We would never perform in circumstances like the games those two sides have been in. So they have overcome the odds, fair play to them I say. We have to get our own house in order, and forget the likes of them. Spurs arent in the CL so its not all bad, they are in trouble now I'd say.

I was reasonably happy to see them win. I dont even hate Cole anymore, I can see why he has left us for moments like tonight and last week.

The likes of Cole, Cech, Lampard, Drogba and Terry deserve it for their performances over the years, could have done with players of that ilk ourselves.

Can you imagine Wenger's pre-match talk, had that been us up against Bayern tonight... "Just go out and play your game. Play to your strengths" :banghead:

The same as it is before every game, no matter who the opposition or what our starting lineup/formation is. That right there is why we're so far off ever winning the CL...

Please don't let anyone ever again say, "but if we get rid of Wenger who could possibly replace him?". A man that managed the mighty MK Dons, got sacked by the giants of West Brom and who has only been in charge of a dozen or so games for the Chavs has just masterminded a European Cup win. But we could never, ever find anyone to replace the all-knowing Wenger could we?

Was just thinking that tonight.

If ever a team proved that the manager isnt the be all and end all, it was Chelsea. If you have the players even okay managers can win trophies.

The internet does not count"? So everything you say on here means nothing? Yes, some people have said it to me. It is a common refrain of the Arsene FC brigade.

If I had a pound for every time the "but who could replace him" defence had been used, I'd be a rich man.

and i'll quite happily never win the ECL if to do it means becoming classless chavs.

We had our chance in 2006 and we blew it, but we played attractive football that the world enjoyed and admired.
Hahahahahahahaha is the "class" a new trophy we've invented!
LOL

Class hmmm yes. That manager that insults refs, the chairman that abused fans, the manager who lies to the fans consistently, the owner who has no interest in winning or investing, overpriced tickets, and mercenaries picking up fat wages. Oh and add deluded fans to that one too.

Yeah. They'll "never have our class"

(Theyll just win those trophy things instead)
