What would have happened if we'd finished 4th?

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

What would have happened if we'd finished 4th?

- No Champs League
- RVP off
- Chelsea taking our place + 1st London Club.
- Spuds gloating.

This place would have been in ABSOLUTE meltdown.

Well 2 of those 4 things have happened / will happen. The first one I could have lived with in isolation as we have no ambition to win the thing anyway, but I have to say if Spurs had qualified and we missed out, I hate to think what that feeling would be like

Agreed - the hope is that Spurs now lose Bale and Modric and spurn the money on a pile of shit. Liverpool will face more transition too under a new manager

Chelsea had their off season in the League but with 2 more trophies in the locker and Abramovich backing a new manager I expect normal service to be resumed. City and United are CL certs.

So I expect the top 3 sewn up (unless Roman suddenly decides that Sven is the answer to Chelsea's prayers), and us scrapping around for the fourth placed trophy with the Mickeys and maybe the Spuds

I thought we were going for the title next season ? :?

4th place is a bit low isnt it. I mean we did better than that this season and that was after our worst start for 58 years.
Man Utd are on the decline. I predicted this in January, it just took a bit longer than I anticipated.
We have already proved we are better than Chelsea - they just got lucky in the cups.
Spurs
Liverpool :D

so that leaves Man City and Nasri's comments have given our players the incentive to go out and beat them next season.
we proved last month we are better than them, all we need to do is prove it over the course of a season. :barscarf:

bloody hell, do you really believe what you write or do you do it to annoy people :banghead:

every single line in your post is bad, serious bad, man u and man c are still better then us as there 19 point lead over us proves , as for chelsea you just know they will sign some new players and with the cl on display it will make it easier.

Arsenal would of played in the EL
Arsenal would of missed out on the huge CL TV money that is coming in next season
Arsenal would of had to sell more than RVP
Arsenal would of had reduced income from matches(lower attendances)
Arsenal would of fallen behind Chelsea at the end of the season
Arsenal would not be able to invest in any quality new players
Arsenal battle out with Lpoo & Newcastle for remaining EL place
Arsenal fall out of top 6
Arsenal in poor position for new shirt deal
Arsenal in poor position for new shirt sponcers
Arsenal in poor position to hire new manager
Arsenal slip into mid table
Arsenal shares half in price and SK & Usman look to sell

lol I'm so relieved this was more of a humorous thread than a doom/gloom one. This place is depressing!
