Lads, since the forum re-opened I have had a couple of posts modded and 1 warning but it's no big deal and you just dust yourself off and move forward In anything that requires human judgement there will be inconsistencies and some stuff will sneak under the radar especially when you consider the amount of posts that need to be modded, but that doesn't mean that it is personal. Instead of feeling paranoid and questioning why other posts get by, just look at your own posts and ask yourself if they deserved to be modded - if you still think otherwise then pm the mod in question and ask him privately why it was modded No point looking for rows lads

Maybe get your facts right first there, mate. Not one of us "put ourselves forward to be mods". We were all asked by Mike or Kev, or nominated by others. By the very nature of such a wide ranging forum it is nearly impossible to get it right 100% of the time. All we can do is try our best, which we do. Mike added extra mods to try and ease the burden on the few of us that were here and to try and keep the place open.

There are rules and we all have to obey them. Tone is very important though as well. If you call Wenger a crunt and it is obviously done with hatred and real venom then we have to mod it as it is abuse. If you jokingly call him something and it's obviosly a joke it might be left on, but that's where the dificulty is for us; judging the tone. Most times we get it right, sometimes we don't.

My advice is if you want to post something negative about Wenger (or anyone) then post something intelligent, inform people why you dislike him, don't just name call.

I have unlocked this for now as I find it appropriate to respond.

I am a bit miffed by this over reaction as I would call it and find it a tad sad that people feel the need to effectively bring this issue to the public fore.

I believe in some integrity and Armchair Supporter you really should have contacted me privately. I made my decision to give you a warning not out of a personal attack but to ask you tone things down. Now whether you felt I was targeting you because of this I do feel it's important to remember I did send you a polite message explaining my decision.

I am new to the moderating team and may make errors of judgement or calls that do not appease all and sundry, but this call on my integrity is both insulting and uncalled for.

As a moderator I feel I am actually very lenient.i am on most days where I read the vast majority of threads and often I speak with other moderators with regards contentious issues, and I can assure you that the decision to warn Armchair was not taken lightly.

To call me inconsistent is a tad humorous, this is due to the fact it was my first censor......inconsistent within thread perhaps but certainly not in a manner to cause a fresh thread to be started.

In addition to my Vanity Thread, I believed Goetze would join, but with many threads the issue died and I kept it up more out of hope he'd sign than trying to show my disgraceful distain for the forum.
I rarely start threads and the ones I do start I do actually believe may bring something to the board, perhaps as with my moderating I am not very good.

I am apologetic in the manner in which one pisses off the masses.
