Anyone remember the day we had a match rained off?
We and all went to Highbury - think they were playing Wolves and Clock End full of Chelsea ! Best days ever

I remember being in the north bank with hundreds or more spurs fans when our away FA cup game was called
off and we joined the lower league team supporters (Walsall) who also took the north bank.

Remember both those games in our 78 cup run, Walsall and the Swampy vermin took the north bank that day??? Pure fiction. Think some went in the CE and got battered by both us and Walsall

Chelsea met a similar fate at the Wolves game as I remember, certainly turned up in the CE but the clock end "full of Chelsea"???????

I remember 1970 but did'nt attend my first game til Oct 71 so don't remember that incident. Sounds like the kind of thing we were known for tho, sposed to have been a very organised mob back in those days, unusual for the times.

That Wolves game if my memory is correct was the one where George Berry marked Supermac out of the game , we were drawing but then Berry managed to get himself sent off late on for what I think was later described as reacting to a racist comment and belting Macdonald! Next minute we get a corner and Macdonald scores.

Semi-final was at Stamford Bridge and although I wasn't there I remember we had the Shed that day. Was that the only time we were successful in attempting to take it?!?!?!

Late sixties/early seventies we would have half the shed. Chelsea lot would be squeezed into the other half.

Arsenal were the first team to take the Shed in early seventies, Arsenal old boys will telll you that they did it two years on the trot, The Chelsea old boys will only admit to the once. Also Arsenal took all three ends at Tottenham for about 6 years on trot from about 67 onwards and Johnny Hoys mob came very close to taking the West Ham North Bank around 69-70ish, West Ham had the help of Tottenham that day.

My first visit to Chelsea about nov/dec 72 we were definitely in the shed, remember watching the fun from the old north stand. What a shitty ground they had in those days

I remember a sentimental chelsea friend of mine being very upset when they demolished the shed.

"They've taken the shed down " he said.

I replied....."What have they replaced it with? A couple of pre-fab garages?"

The place was a total shit hole in the old days. A dog track. Surrounded by odd bits of buildings.
