Another bowl in the making

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

It will be (sort of) a bowl, from the horse's mouth

Almunia is a clown wrote:West Spam are not that far behind Chavski & Middlesex y**s in terms of their supporter base.

Remember the night Arsenal won the CWC in Copenhagen, there was 8000 odd at Stamford Bridge 2 weeks before the FA cup final that they had reached

No wonder Captain Birds Eye Bates opted out of playing the Chavs Cl games at Wembey as the comparision with Arsenal's support would have been embarrassing!!!

Chavksi & WHU were not that much different in support terms until the last decade when they spent massively & raked up a 100 Million debt & were then bailed by the dodgy Russian!!!!

WHU in a 60K ground would be nto much more than 5000 behind the y**s & Chavs in average gates IMO

With cheap seats & deals they could get a decent average gate over the season!

i dont want to sound eliteist but if a club with a much lower following builds a souless bowl such as the grove surely they are risking turning away some of that base who go just as much for the atmosphere and history as for the sport.or are the loses exceeded by the gains ?

History is set to be made at the Totteringham game (10th September 2011), with part of the new, and state-of-the-art, Stan Cullis stand open for the first time

That's insanely impressed, fair play to Wolves for getting the project moving. When I saw the plans I presumed it would be years before (and if) anything happened!

Some of those fans in the top row won't be able to see us present them with the Little Club Trophy on the pitch with that view.

Still an extra few thousand singing Hi Ho Wolverhampton and Ing-er-lund, Ing-er-lund should make it an even more amusing venue than before

Along with their toaster banners, which serve no purpose whatsoever.

Wolverhampton in itself is just a glorified roundabout, no wonder they are all so depressed sounding.

Think they're going to knock down the stand next to it and build another section of bowl.

Don't know why, it's going to be a massive white elephant. Small fanbase and in the Championship.
