Quite clearly the guy doesn't want a year out of football, and why should he at his age. Its obvious that he wanted to leave Barcelona and wanted to find a diplomatic way of doing so, but he is apparently hinting that he would take up a new role after a much shorter break.
I can see him turning up at Stamford Bridge in time for the new season. How many big clubs are there that would be in a position to have him now? Could only see him managing in England or Italy and for a Champions League club, so I wouldn't be at all surprised to see him at the Chavs

Guardiola: "...If one club wants me and seduces me"
If he doesn't mind a seduction the equivalent of taking a woman to the white swan for beer and a burger, and making her pay, then I think we're in with a chance.

Re: Guardiola
There isn't anyone out there for him at the moment. He wont go anywhere near Liverpool.
I still think he'll be our next manager.

Rigsby you are a lot more placid andpatient than I am (notice that I didnt say that makes you right

Re: Guardiola
I'd rather see him take a year out and then take over for the 2013/2014 season. However, if Wenger manages to somehow pull off a trophy season, he'll stay, but I think Wenger needs either the EPL title or the CL trophy to stay on, if he can't manage one of those next season, then he needs to go.augie wrote:rigsby wrote:There isn't anyone out there for him at the moment. Rigsby you are a lot more placid andpatient than I am (notice that I didnt say that makes you right) but tell me this, would you sack/squeeze wenger out if pep made an approach tomorrow offering to be our manager ? I know most would say yes (even flash I think
) but you seem more tolerant/respectful to wenger than some of us so would that stop you if a great manager wanted to take his place ?

Re: Guardiola
I think Guardiola will be our next manager - wenker will moves 'upstairs' ie: into the hallowed halls of Kerrrrchinnnnggg! and keep a careful eye on how much is spent of transfers....Ole Pep will be told by Wenker, Kreonke, et al 'You can buy who you want - as long as it doesn't involve the actually 'Handing over of Any Cash from Arsenal's Vault' - and so what could have been a Beautiful relationship and seen Arsenal restored to their rightful place at the top of the prem, will see Pep head to pastures anew ie:$hitty and Lo and behold Wenker will come back from retirement and make us contenders for that coveted Third Place...
