As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.
To be honest with you, he is a player that I am still not sold on - he seems like an old style British centre forward that would work a treat at your mid level clubs but would get found wanting at the highest level. Yes I know he scores a load of goals but so does Gomes at bayern and he is fcuking useless
If we were to spend that type of money then I would rather go for Darren bent

Wishfull thinking or a slip of what is happening ?
Watched the first 60 mins of the french game last night to see what M'Vila is all about and he wasnt brought on up to that point anyway In fact the main commentator (not the dickhead that is stewart robson ) suggested that M'Vila could be one of those to lose out when french squad cuts cut down from 25 players (as it currently is) to the final 23 and I am shocked by that cos anything I have read about te bloke suggests that he is a key player in the first 11 for them
On a side issue looking at the french last night amused me - on one hand when you look at the names of the players available to them (esp the attacking players) you would expect them to be shit hot but in reality (if last night is anything to go by) the play very Arsenalesque in that they have loads of tippy tappy short passes but go nowhere Defensively they look a mess with mexes holding the back line together on his own at times and apart from being a c**t, evra is now also a useless c**t Their two wingers (menez and ben arfa) were shite and cabaye and gourcuff didnt work together well which wasnt surprising really as both like to be the playmakers and they had no ball winner alongside them. All that being said I would expect the french to be dangerous and if I was looking for an outside bet for the euro's then they would be it
Uzbekistan midfielder Odil Ahmedov is hoping to revive interest from Arsenal this summer.
The Anzhi Makhachkala player has been extensively scouted by the Gunners and was considered for a move 12 months ago.
The 24-year-old has flourished at one of the world’s biggest-spending clubs, but hopes to take the step up to the Barclays Premier League.
I’m really happy to be playing at Anzhi, but I want to try England or Spain,' he said. 'All the clubs in Spain and England are wonderful, but I would like, if I had the choice, to play for Arsenal.'
Ahmedov, who possesses a powerful long-range shot, could be an alternative to Rennes holding midfielder Yann M’Vila.
The 6ft-tall player, who has also been used as a centre-half, scored with a spectacular 30-yard drive in the opening game of the Asian Cup against hosts Qatar last year.
Ahmedov was voted Anzhi’s best player of 2011, ahead of Samuel Eto’o and Yury Zhirkov.
Not that we were at the races but Hazard is off to Chelsea.
We started to realise that he was acting a bit of a Crunt...he'll feel right at home with Terry & Cole.
(Maybe a fake account that broke the news on Twitter - but the feeling is he'll move to London.)
Also Louis Saha has gone on twitter claiming that he is to join the Chavs. Although he does say "apparently" so he might have been sucked it to the above (fake) news.
Augie what you say about France is spot on, look very weak. It is quite funny because according to many Arsenal fans Koscielny is one of the best in the league (LOL) but Blanc will never ever trust him to start as first choice centre back.
It is Rami and Mexes every time, and if one of them gets injured then he starts Kaboul instead. Blanc has been questioned about this before and basically said that Koscielny is an 'athlete first' and a defender second type thing.
M'Villa is a very good player but one with a ghetto attitude problem. Good thing Wenger is known for being brave and enforcing discipline eh?
