I am slagging a fans group and their grave error in creating an allegiance rather then staying impartial not any individuals and yes i do know many of them and many know me- no disrespect to you but if you are stuck in County Cook and I am in the thick of it here in London its a pretty safe bet that I got my finger on the pulse.
Lets agree to disagree and move on for the love of arsenal but i go back to my original posting, the justification of which is vindicated by the 15 pages so far... but this is how i see it developing
1 .Usmanov is needed, if only because its now a can't beat them join them campaign
2. He WILL eventually oust Kroenke ( sooner the better) but just a matter of time and money !
3. Red Action in particular will suffer big time , AST will become irrelevant if Usma buys out Kroenke as he will go over the 90% threshold and trigger an offer on the remaining shares that most will not refuse but AISA will survive and deserves to escape unscathed from the Kroenke era,for all the good it has done and continues to do - and yes I am an AISA member
4. A Usmanov friendly version of Red Action will surface and eventually become the unofficial official liaison point between the new regime and fans
and last as I am a nice person...
5. I will give you 2 club level seats to a game at the Emirates next season if RVP stays - (he won't) but if you think he will tell me what I get in return

Re: USMANOV/DEIN/HILL-WOOD - allegations etc
Wouldn't the satisfaction of having being proved right suffice?

Re: USMANOV/DEIN/HILL-WOOD - allegations etc
I was reading a Liverpool Forum last night and overall they were pretty excited about the rumours that Dein is getting involved in their club.
We certainly miss his influence with Wenger regardless of anything else that went on.

Really really really hope you are right rigsby by tbh I doubt it - DD, I would think, is itching to get back into the game and going into a club like the victims where they are in the middle of a huge shake up in the admin part of the club would suit him IF he is given overall control

I agree i could see Dein doing well at liverpool but he needs to be careful if it all went tits up being an 'outsider' the typical northern city mentality like newcastle and scousers they could turn big time on himaugie wrote:rigsby wrote:Those Dein to Liverpool rumours surface all the time. He's about your standard Etonian though, scummy, slimy lying bastard, only out for himself and living off his family nameHerd wrote: For a man who is an Etonian and an Investment banker Hillwood is a clown and not a patch on his Old man Dennis .
But he is here for life !

Re: USMANOV/DEIN/HILL-WOOD - allegations etc
I would be against Usmanov taking over. From what I have read about him I do not want him to be the owner of Arsenal and all that will entail. I do believe the club are on the right track financially and him taking over could have long term ramifications that I do not want to even imagine.
The way I see it is it will only be a plaything for him. Not saying Kroenke is much better but I think he is in it for the money. I believe Usmanov is not that good and Kroenke is not that bad.
Our failure to win and compete has been down to Wenger's intransigence, not signing a top class keeper when it was obvious to everyone that it was needed, blind loyalty to certain players and his frugality in the transfer market.
I wish Wenger would become a manager again and not a director

Re: USMANOV/DEIN/HILL-WOOD - allegations etc
Why can't they both have an involvement? Usmanov certainly deserves a place on the board more than many of those wankers who don't own half as much of the club as he does
Re: USMANOV/DEIN/HILL-WOOD - allegations etc
Talking of Supporters Groups,Mr Dein on Behalf of Usmanov had a meeting with a member of the Herd to see if we would take sides some 3 years back and was told after consultation that we would not agitate on either side which Dein accepted without further pressure .
Funny Old world !

Not really ,No !
Re: USMANOV/DEIN/HILL-WOOD - allegations etc
1983-David Dein buy's 16.6% share of the club for £292,000
1991-David Dein sells 8% of his 42% stake (10,000 shares) to Danny Fiszman
At some point over the next decade David Dein & Danny Fiszman have a falling out and do not get on
David Dein also sells 19.42% of his shares during this period
2007-David Dein has now 9,072 shares (14.58%) & Danny Fiszman has around 18,000(28%) of the shares
David Dein reportedley goes behind the boards back to get Stan Kroenke to invest in Arsenal
Stan Kroenke distances himself from David Dein
March 2007-Danny Fiszman sells 659 shares for £3.9m to Stan Kroenke
April 2007-Stan Kroenke buys 9.9% of the shares from ITV
18 April 2007-David Dein leaves the club and sells his 9,072 shares (14.58%) in the club for £75 million to R&W holdings
David Dein resigns from R&W holdings to alow closer ties within Arsenal
19 September 2008-Stan Kroenke owns 18,594 Shares, representing 29.9%
11 April 2011-Danny Fiszman sells the rest of his shares to Stan Kroenke who now owns 62.89% of the shares
May 2012-Stan Kroenke owns 66.64% of the shares and Alisher Usmanov, owns 29.11%
It seems to me that David Dein, Danny Fiszman, Peter Hill Wood etc all made a fair bit of money out of their dealings
