If Wenger left ?
If Wenger left ?
personally i think a change would do us a whole lot of good as i think he has lost the plot but looking at the Liverpool situation and how they are taking on a Swansea manager , who would we get ??? it is ok saying Pep , Mourinho , but who would actually come to Arsenal ?
maybe we are better off with him
maybe we are better off with him

If the status quo continues with the top 4 finishes it will be Bould who takes over. Personally i think a club the size of Arsenal should be aiming for a big name manager but with that comes demands for transfer kity which im presuming the board are quite happy not to dish out to Wenger. For me id go for Klopp, Mourinho, Van Gaal or Hiddink.
Therefore we are not better of with him

Klopp isn't a big name, it only has five letters.flash gunner wrote:If the status quo continues with the top 4 finishes it will be Bould who takes over. we dont buy Hazard, Mata, Aguero any of those players so why would we get Pep, Mourinho etc as a manager?

Re: If Wenger left ?
and as long as Kroenke is here then any manager we have will be held back.
at least Wenger gets us in the top 4 each year, although I agree that if the squad isnt improved this summer then he should go. I wont expect any improvement with any new manager though. Managers are less and less important in the modern game

What about Wengers refusal to spend before Kroenke took over?Red Member wrote:and as long as Kroenke is here then any manager we have will be held back.

If the board are holding Wenger back why hasnt he resigned in protest
No Kroenke and Wenger are a match made for each other. An owner who doesnt want to invest and a manager who doesnt want to spend. And to keep him sweet pay him £7m a year with the guarentee they you will never be sacked.
Things will only change once an owner comes in who isnt just happy to finish top 4

Re: If Wenger left ?
IT'S ALL KROENKES FAULT!
Except, there is no shred of evidence to suggest Wenger has ever been withheld funds. Remember this is the manager who said that if he was given £100 mil to spend 'I would give it back'
If the board were constraining Wenger, then the dignified thing to do would be to walk on, because his reputation has taken an absolute battering. SEVEN years, no trophies, an embarrassment in Europe and poor signings all over the shop. The problem is, Wenger won't walk because not only is he classless and arrogant, but he is happy to pick up his £7.5 million a year. His 'loyalty' is greed pure and simple. NO other club in Europe would pay Wenger this money apart from PSG. No one will pay a manager with such a poor record £7.5 mil a season and he knows it. Wenger works WITH the board and their philosophies are aligned with one another.
Wenger spends sod all because he has a fantasy project, the board love this because it suits them. Wenger is rewarded with a fat salary and his ego is inflated. WIn-win - except the fans lose by having to put up with years of Chamakhs, Denilsons and Gervinhos...
Fact is, Wenger's record is pathetic, he cannot motivate and this club will never win anything again with such a tactical retard in charge.
JURGEN KLOPP please or PEP GUARDIOLA.
There are tons of managers out there, Di Matteo proves that.
WENGER OUT, let's make Arsenal great again

It's £7.5m now, is it?!!!Babatunde wrote:Wenger won't walk because not only is he classless and arrogant, but he is happy to pick up his £7.5 million a year.

Baba, the other day you said Wenger was on £7m a year, and before that you've been saying he was on £6.5m a year....
Is his contract being renegotiated on a weekly basis?

At this rate, you'll be quoting £10m by July! - you'll be spitting blood at that point, mate.

Im a bit confused by Babatunde.
he starts off by saying it is all Kroenke's fault and then proceeds to have a rant about Wenger
