You see various rumours and links in the media and on social sites and you slowly get sucked in, even me the past week. The fact is, which I've had to remind myself, is that we're not really making moves to sign anyone.

We have this massive scout network so the chances are we have looked at every player. We may have Scouted some more then others and on several occasions. So when we read "Arsenal have sent/are sending Scouts to watch..." or "Have Scouted for months" that's what the network is for. Doesn't mean we're going to buy one.

Rather then to start an argument on 'who's the worst' but think of a position that DOESN'T need replacing. That's right a player we're happy with! I bet Arsenal have a list of players ready and being watched to replace him. It's the majority of these players we're continuing to watch and monitor that get reported and rumoured.

THIS WOULD BE THE BEST TRANSFER STORY EVER MAKE IT HAPPEN PLEEEEASE GOD

Arsene Wenger could make a shock return to his hometown Strasbourg when he leaves Arsenal.

Wenger still has two years left on his current deal, but reports in France suggest he is already making plans for when he eventually leaves the north London club.
The Arsenal manager has transformed the team following his arrival back in 1996 helping them win three Premier League titles and four FA Cup trophies.
Wenger will be 64 when his contract runs out and he seems certain to make a return to France.
The legendary coach was born in Strasbourg and finished his playing career with the French club.
French magazine France Football claim Wenger was back in Strasbourg last week and it was reported that he met up with representatives from the club.
It is claimed that RC Strasbourg would relish the chance to have Wenger in charge and hope they can agree a deal to bring him back to the club.'

Where's the source for this Baba? Would love it if true but this says in 2 years, surely he won't be giving his all during this period, and if he's sounding out other teams surely that's a good reason (amongst a load of others) to get rid of him now.

Youre grasping at straws mate. If Wenger got Kroenkes wig shoved it down his trousers and went in the Grove with is flies open scaring the tea ladies or replaced Hill-Woods cigars with turds and took the piss as he tried to light them he wouldnt get the sack. Wenger is here for the next 2 years at least like it or not

I hope he's not in tears because the kick hurt... that would hardly do his hard man image any favours!

The source is France Football article. SHOUTsport also had it on earlier....

I completely agree with you, I think it's scandalous that Wenger has been allowed to work on the side in advising PSG and the Qatari takeover (he was allegedly handsomely rewarded for this). Other 'side projects' include him purchasing a truckload of shares in Strasbourg Football Club and acting in an advisory capacity for them...then not forgetting that over this summer, he will paid handosmely to commentate on the Euros by Eurosport - can you name another top manager of a big club, currently employed, that is commentating at the Euros please??? I could be wrong here but cannot think of another?!

You must also remember Frank, that Wenger also agrees to commentate on the CL final every single season for French television. It's almost as if he KNOWS he is going to be free that day seeing as Arsenal shan't ever be anywhere near it. It's a joke. Oh did I forget to mention his additional lucre he is getting for Castrol oil?

Yes Yes Yes.

Arsene Wenger. What a great man, what a person full of integrity, with his mind fully focused on the Arsenal job and certainly not openly having his fingers in as many other pies as possible. I don't see any other top manager this busy - the only one who comes close is Mourinho - and he WINS crucially.

I wouldn't give a toss if Wenger was doing what's best for Arsenal but he's damaging the club, and so you have to ask where Mr £7.5 mil a year 'wages are inflated in football/financial doping' and his priorities lie.
