As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.
Please don't kid yourselves. A combo of Wenger, Hill Wood and of course Kroenke will ensure that it will not happen.
Are we maximising our resources right now? Absolutely not.
We cannot compete with Rushden and Diamonds.
If you want fancy-dan things like trophies, p**** off and go support Reading.
How pathetic Babatunde you miss out all of g88ner's excellent posts and answer a post that suits your ranting agenda
In fairness, I pm'd Baba so perhaps that's why he hasn't responded on the forum. (I'm kind of relieved, to be honest )
But there must be better data out there than that link posed by donaldo? - it's very thorough and revealing (and possibly accurate...ish) but it's an article that doesn't offer any sources, and that doesn't make sense. YOU ALWAYS GIVE YOUR SOURCES. That's how research works (but perhaps, as a scientist, I'm just used to that approach)
stg wrote:I've been looking around the interweb about Arsenals wages and looked at when Wenger and players signed new contracts and what was reported. A.Wengers contract is according to the media is £115,000 per week and Szezesny is reported to be £30,000 per week which are lower than the Arsenal truth report. Apart from the Arsenal truth report I could not find out about a a lot of players and their wages in the short time I looked, unless like NB52 who told everybody what he was earning most of the reports just said long term contracts.
It is like reading how much players cost on another thread I pointed out that "The highest buying figures I have found for 2011/12 are £58,410,000 the lowest selling price I have found for the same period is £63,875,000 which is a diffrence of £5,464,000 a lot less than the £15,280,000 that was being talked about"
These reports and articles are useful in the fact that they give a rough outline of what Arsenal are doing finacialy but to use them as fact would be misleading and in truth would weaken your argument because they can easily be dismissed. If I can find a diffrence of between £115,000 and £135,000 for Wengers wages and a diffrence roughly £10million between the money spent buying and selling by Arsenal on transfers by surfing the interweb for 20 mins then this shows these figures should only be used as a guide not as a stick to beat them with.
Sorry mate, this post probably got lost in all the other stuff, so thought I'd bump it. Good stuff

I think Quartz has hit the nail on the head, we can only see the total wage figure, therefore it's all a question of guesswork unfortunately.

Aye, I know. Doesn't look like there's much out their really beyond guesswork. Just surprised agents and players (being the loudmouths that many of them are) don't splurt out their wages more often.
After all, presuambly that's why it's common knowledge Bendtner is on £52,000 a week... or is that a myth?

Do you feel slightly idiotic yet son?
Because with demented ranting about something you're 100% WRONG about (I PMd a response to G88ner), you've just made yoursel look a prize chump. You seem obsessed in trying to win arguments with me you don't have the capacity of winning.
Calm yourself dear girl and change that damp nappy of yours please
