The thing is though, that the red mancs spent over 60m on three players last summer and even though their fans believe that should be spending more, they still spending money that it takes us 3 years to spend. Are they spending cos they know the fans wont tolerate the lack of investment that we put up with or are they spending cos ferguscum demands it ? Fcuked if I know
I'd say that it doesn't have much to do with the fans - Anyone who had watched Utd this year could see that they were crying out for a midfield playmaker. Rooney was dropped into midfield for a while and Scholes came out of retirement.

We, on the other hand, are crying out for a new manager, but will Wenger go out and buy one? ...What? Oh....

Yes they were crying out for a midfielder but in the same way we were crying out for a quality striker but didnt fcuking get one like we have been crying out for a keeper for years before chesney replaced the poodle walking c**t  Fact is that the mancs are capable of organising themselves to protest against their owners and even though I acknowledge that it is debatable how much success those protests had, the one thing you can be sure of is that the club did not like the negative publicity it brought them.
Like them or loathe them the manure fans wouldnt tolerate the shit that we are currently going through - being satisfied finishing in the top 4 with no trophies for 8 seasons would see the place burnt down up there whilst we are supposed to be delighted and told that we are actually overachieving    For all ferguscum has done for that club there is no way the fans would allow a malaise like we are going through with wenger to continue for 8 seasons. Their club is massively massively in debt yet we dont hear them bemoaning their financial situation or using it as an excuse for not competing cos they just get on with their shit and do what is necessary to compete at the top level. How will the supposed FFP regulations affect them and their debts ? If they are breaking even or making a small profit every season does that mean that they would then be classed as complying even though they have massive debts ? Regardless of how it affects them you will never hear their manager, the board or their fans championing the ffp rules as a light at the end of a tunnel cos at the end of the day they expect to be serious challengers every season and excuses will not be tolerated and that is the difference between winners and losers I guess

I am not saying that fan power doesn't exist, it is just that how much would that actually mean to the owners? Looks at their green and yellow scarf campaign - did it really make a difference? Probably not - but then again - they were always competing or winning the title. If they started to lose, then perhaps you would have seen that gain momentum.

Here - there are a clear majority who think Wenger is God, but ultimately, unless we fall out of the top four, nothing will change from a fan perspective. We almost saw it last year, but it wasn't close enough as the team bounced back and Spuds/Chelski imploded.

For me, the difference is the manager - one is tactically astute and goes out and fixes his team when he perceives weakness. That really doesn't have much to do with the fans.

The other is using FFP as an excuse to carry on with his vanity project while shoving square pegs into round holes tactically.

Also there is a massive difference in the way that the clubs are run. The Glazers give Fergie the funds and he spends it on players that he deems to add something to the squad - like Kawaga (whom I would have killed to see in Arsenal colours next year). He does buys duds too, but he is so far better tactically than Wenger that even if he buys dross, their system is followed and they still eek out results.

As fans, sure we can protest, but ultimately, not much is going to change unless we fall out of the top four. Hitting them in the wallet is a novel idea as well, but it won't happen until results on the pitch change. Until then, expect more of the same.

Fans here share the club mandate - sadly - which is the top four.

You missing the point,

Firstly , Lots were there to see @darrenarsenal1 steaming in to get his questions in at the end and as the king of twitter fair play to him and great credit for all he does in reporting that back like he did to all those that couldn't attend

Plenty of us do a lot but do it for love of arsenal not to put their head above the parapet and appear a big ' I am'

My point is that these groups make out that they represent 'the fans' when they don,t , just a minute percentage.

I get off my arse and got to every home away and nearly all champions league away games so don't treat my like some fukin numpty.

As for being personal , dead action started that with the ante Usmanov banners and will NEVER be forgiven for that,

Love arsenal hate Usmanov is what they will be remembered for and All the flag waving and singing in their blocks cannot make up for the contribution they have made to Kroenke winning the day...so far.

I remember going on shit trains to notts county and derby and Sheff utd in the dire 70,s when we had no hope terry Neil and don Howe so also please likewise don't assume anything about anyone that posts on this site , I just trying to talk facts not bullshit and waffle.

Born Arsenal, live Arsenal, die Arsenal Is the common thread whatever
If you want to talk about missing the point while replying to my post, then that is exactly what you have done.

This is not a superfan contest, we all go to games, but who wants to give up even more if their time to get involved in these organisations, or set up their own ; You know, like the infamous 'Arsenal Artillery 1886' of this very forum?

You took the train to Nottingham and Sheffield? What the fuck has that got to do with this thread or the point I made in my previous post? Sounds like you are a bit paranoid, mate ; 'fukin numpty' appears in your post, not mine.

Why does it always boil down to personal abuse?

If you want me to summarise my point, then it is 'why don't you get involved'? And before your paranoia takes over, the 'you' is referring to everyone on this thread who is slagging off the AST from behind a keyboard and had absolutely no intention of going to the Q&Athe other night.

As I said, it was heavily stage managed, but when questions are being taken from the floor, that is the chance for the loud mouthed malcontents to make their points.

I though the 'new and improved' forum was suppoed to be a nicer place with less personal abuse? As soon as differing opinions are offered, it just descends into the same old, same old.

Just a point of order Cook. He’s not being personally abusive to you, mate. His tone is a bit agitated but that can’t be construed as personal abuse.

Cook has got a point though what is everyone doing that is angrily disatisfied with AST and the club? Its all well and good slagging everything and everyone off but go to the meeting and make a difference. I know distance for augie in the instance is a problem but there can be very few excuses from London based members who are very vocal here :?

He's got his metaphor a bit mixed there, huh? Isn't it the JW's that blindly believe in one inallible God that must be obeyed no matter what? Remind you of someone?
