Euro 2012

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Im not surprised that Poland are shit, they didn't have to qualify and host nations are usually not that good (imagine what its like when the World Cup goes to Qatar in 2022). I actually had a fiver on Greece to win the game and they were unlucky / a bit shit. That penalty should have gone in.

And Chesney's decision making today was very poor. I still think he will be a great keeper for us for many years to come but the need for an experienced mentor is evident.

ROFL

The delusion of Arsenal fans knows no bounds. Chesney may I remind you, has the THIRD worst shots to saves ratio in the Premier League.

Still....Isn't he amaaaazing simply by virtue of the fact that he is better than Almunia? (so is Rob bloody Green ffs)

Chesney has the basics of a good keeper but no doubt his decision making has to improve - I would like to say for certain that he will improve that aspect with more experience but then again I thought that about flaps too
Personally I agree with bournemouthred when he says that we have far bigger priorities than the goalkeeping position although signing someone cheap and experienced like gordon from sunderland (although inj record would be a huge concern obviously) would be a important move

With Flappy Average and Mannone leaving an experienced keeper is a priority as it has been since Lehmann left.Szczesny still has a lot to learn and needs to be pushed by an experienced back up
