Changing Colours
Not really Arsenal related Mods feel free to move it or even call it a vanity thread.
Last week the Malaysian owners of Cardiff City, suggested a change of colour of the home shirt from blue to red to make the club more attractive to Asian markets, in return the owners will invest a further £100m into the club in players, facilities etc.
The supporters groups and a few politicians didn't like it and the plan has now been dropped. But it got me thinking what would our reaction be to a similar plan? eg get rid of the Red/White and play in orange? Nike will probably suggest this soon.

Re: Changing Colours
Red and white.
The 2005 - 2006 kit was fine for a one off, had a historical basis.
No other kit changes please, the blue in the new kit is not to my liking.

red & white forever!

Re: Changing Colours
If this happened at Arsenal, I'd like to think there would be a massive boycott on the merchandise but JCL's would probably say shit like 'the new white and navy home kit looks better'

Re: Changing Colours
What about if we were offered a £100m hand out if we changed from red & white to orange to make the club more financially attractive?

Re: Changing Colours
They're called the bluebirds so red for Cardiff just doesn't work...also they say having a kit of red would enable them to pump in £100 million, but that wasn't on players it was on various upgrades to the ground/training facilities etc...wonder if the owner's will begin a strategic withdrawal!?

Re: Changing Colours
I just saw that its happened
There is a real possibility of this happening to any team one day. I could imagine our red sleeves being dropped one day

Re: Changing Colours
My favourite "other kit" was always the orange worn by the dutch, fantastic kit, would love it at Arsenal, might keep RVP if we changed to it too
These times they are a changing
If we went back to winnignleagues I wouldn't care if they wore pink tbh

Re: Changing Colours
nike have been subtly putting blue into our colour palette for years, the navy on this seasons kit was rough, the 11-12 home shirt was fine.

Re: Changing Colours
The new kit is red redesigned badge, kept the away shirt blue and kept the bluebird on the badge. Majority of fans happy as they see the need to modernise, some are unhappy.
