Cologne pre season friendly

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Nou Camp... crappy  :?

I thought it was a superb footballing arena.
The only thing impressive about Camp Nou is the initial "wow" factor when you first look out over the edge from the top tier. Other than that it looks like a car park, has no atmosphere and is full of *word censored*.

If we're talking about "superb football arenas", Westfalenstadion aka Signal Iduna Park is about as close to a perfect stadium as there is IMO...
I liked it  preferred the San Siro though.

Can't really comment on the German grounds as I've never been, but yeah Dortmund's ground looks immense 8)

How's everyone getting to Cologne?

I've booked my flight back but i'm struggling to get a reasonable flight out on Sunday morning, best i've came up with is flying to Amsterdam and then catching a train down.

Flying to and from Eindhoven then catching the train, same as I did last year. Out Sunday morning, back 7pm Monday evening.

Eurostar at 6.49am on the Friday for me, then train from Brussels to Cologne in the afternoon, arrive in Cologne at around 3.15pm, flying back on Monday morning :barscarf: :barscarf: :barscarf:

Bit of a whirlwind trip for me, Flight to Amsterdam on Sunday morning and then the train down to Cologne. Then getting the last train to Weeze that night and sleeping in the airport before the first flight out on Monday, all i can afford to spend away sadly.

Will be going with a few mates for a belated 30th shin-dig. Would be good to have an OG meet up out there. All of my enemies on here are welcome. 8)
