As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.
i never rated robben at chelsea either - he was either injured or inconsistent (sound like anyone we know theo ?...) so i wasn't surprised when he left, and even though i saw him score a few good goals on the weekly highlights, i wasn't surprised when he bottled against Bayern.
for the first time in many years there was not a single dutch player to stand out - i wasn't impressed by van bommel, huntelaaar or sneijder.
the team reminded me of the years when they tried to rebuild and depended on seedorf and kluivert.
i was watching the Germany game btw - an interesting fact was brought up about podolski on ESPN - he is the youngest european player to reach a 100 caps. they were also creaming about his 43 goals in 100 games, as for the majority of the games he's not been the striker.

He'll do well replacing RVP
true. but to replace chamakh, bendtner or park is what he's been bought for i think.
for the last two years we've been told we rely too much on one player haven't we ?
