As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.
How many times, in so many threads, so I have to repeat that Rvp will stay?
Though Flash wants rid so he can bitch about him,,,,,,,and walcott too for that matter.
Who wants RVP and Walcott gone? Not me, im one of the few on here that is happy for Walcott to stay
Okee dokee. Buy me a pint when RvP announces he will see his career through with us then?
If RVP says he's staying ill happily buy you a pint as i'll be getting pissed myself... Again i was one of the few banging on about RVP being world class when most on here were saying he should be sold due to his poor injury record 2-3 years ago

To reiterate my point on my countless posts regarding RvP.
He is our club captain and it resonates with him.
We play to his strengths, and he is almost hero worshipped.
The bloke owes us, and he knows it,,,,,,but he is a proper fella and we are like his family.
Money is not his God.
HE WILL NOT BE LEAVING US THIS CLOSE SEASON.

He's gone mate if he wanted to stay he would have signed a new deal by now. If he goes you can buy me a pint and we'll drown our sorrows

No disrespect intended to anybody, but despite a few poor acquisitions over a decade and a half I still have far more faith in AFC's extensive scouting network than a few fans claiming to have watched 2 or 3 Montpellier games and deciding he's amazing/awful on the basis of that.
It's not really fair to write him off on the basis he's come from France because top quality players like Drogba, Pires, Essien, Nasri, Cech etc etc were signed on the basis of what they did in Ligue 1, and he shouldn't be tarred with the same brush as Chamakh merely because they were from the same league.
At the end of the day we look like we're going to splash out £12m on him which represents significant outlay for us (if we keep RvP), particularly considering we've already signed Podolski, so I would have thought the bloke has to be pretty useful, and at any rate I'm sure we've signed him because Wenger and co see the right attributes in him and not merely because he was top scorer in the 5th best league in Europe.
