As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Arsenal will win NOTHING under Wenger. It doesn't matter who we sign because the man is devoid of any tactical or formational (not a word but you know what I mean) nous.
Wenger out!!!!!!
Sadly, I don't see Wenger going anywhere soon, so we just have to grin and bear it. Hopefully, we won't see him signing a new contract.
Personally, I respect the man and I hope that he is back to buying/selling players like he did pre-Invisibles. I understand that for a few years that he would have to take a punt on youngsters and to keep us in contention is admirable, but now he needs to pull his finger out and spend on proven talent and get rid of some of those said players.
If he goes out and gets M'Vila, Giroud and keeps RVP, I will feel confident that he is trying to end his time here with some silverware.

Can't say I ever saw that team
In fact if you're old enough you probably did see that team Lefty. Like the rest of us, it's the 'Invisibles' that you didn't catch sight of.
I can't see Wenger leaving before his contract is up.
Similar to previous comments I think that when we started thinking about the new stadium Wenger agreed to stay with the club to steer us through the years where we would have bugger all money. He'll probably retire or drop into international management after that.
With our new owner I do wonder if we will ever see any of the benefits promised to us from the stadium move.

me too. these early signings are unheard of in my 34 years as an Arsenal fan.
i think the criticism last year actually got to him.
what's encouraging for me is that we've actually signed two big strong forwards who are going to kick the shit out of Terry, Ferdinand, and various muppets from bolton, stoke and blackburn this year, rather than the lightweight aliadere, jeffers, vela, chamakh, park, etc who'd fall over if you said boo to em.

Spot on....can't wait to see Arsenal forwards giving it out rather than receiving it and folding
He's doing a good job so far this summer, I'm impressed. He seems to have changed his policy finally. Signing men rather than kids this time around. He still has to do a hell of a lot more to win back my long lost faith in him though, but he's on the right track atm. I'd love nothing more than to see us become successful and win trophies again under his management. I'd love to get fully behind him again, it's been so fucking long.
Actually signing proven players is a good sign and I hope he wins something before he leaves. I can see him retiring at the end of this contract though.
Yes, he's not as good as he was and if we replaced hm tommorow i'll be sad to see him go but it'll be for the best.
We'll always have happy memories of his glory days though, and, in 20 or 30 years time when we look back with rose tinted glasses, I'll miss the old guy
I think we should give him next season though to see how these newbies gel together.
