Euro Munchies

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Euro Munchies

Post by Lee1 »

A sneaky snack always the order whilst the footie is on. Just enjoyed a supermarket bought Pizza Express...always seem to have a limited range deal (sloppy g or marg) for £2. Slapped on a few slices of supermarket pepperoni....very consumeable indeed with a cheeky glass of red (second to follow).

What's yours?

I find it hard to eat when Arsenal or England play, I get wrapped up in the game.

Otherwise usually a cup of tea.

Eh? :? :? You either find it hard to eat or you make sure there are plenty of 'wraps' to feast on during the 90 minutes. It can't be both, surely? :rubchin: By the way, what's your favourite wrap: chicken, Mexican or savoury?

A cup of tea. Old school. Does it come with a saucer, and served from a teapot and strainer after standing for five minutes?
Assam or English Breakfast? Rich tea or Garibaldi biscuits?
Do you use the gas boiled kettle to warm the teapot beforehand?
There you go, plenty of distractions before the tea tasting itself. :-P

IHH

Favourite wrap has to be Chinese duck pancakes with plum sauce and cucumbers and spring onions.

Earl Grey. No milk, no sugar. In a mug.

From a bag, because I do not have a strainer!

Kettle boiled ten minutes before kick off, and another one at half time.

On a serious note though.
Big footy nights deserve a worthy meal to go with the cold beer.
So, Fanny Craddock suggests a homemade Chilli-con-carne with cardomon and turmeric rice.

Special sauce is made from:

20 scotch bonnet chilli's
20 cloves of garlic
half a desert spoon of salt
1/2 pint olive oil
corriander to suit taste

Whizz in the blender and add oil to suit your desired consistency.

Bloody lovely with everything.

In a mug Quartz.
How vulgar. :D
Earl Grey has a great flavour that does not go well with sugar, or milk for that matter.
Tea bags are the coffins of the leftover's
