Am looking forward to hearing all the shit spew from the French camp in the next few days about how they managed to once again to self combust and am eager to know how much the "petite pute" was culpable

As for benzema......useless pile of dogshite and putting money on that *word censored* to finish top scorer was the greatest waste of money ever  :banghead: :banghead: useless c**t

Not sure about m'vila tbh - very assured in possession but didn't do much breaking up of Spanish attacks which worries me although he is def more disciplined positionally than lardarse song

Kos take a bow son cos you were outstanding :barscarf:
The discipline of M'Vila is what makes him so much of an asset because Song is the opposite.

As a team we will see the benefit of this, ok, he didn't break up play like you say but Song breaks up.play by giving away silly fouls so again this will be a huge improvement.

Alex Song is the root of all evil in this team.
Agree with all of this. Not seen much of the lad before tonight but I thought M'Villa done okay. However even on this admittedly scant piece of evidence, I've already come to the conclusion that he is better than Song at movement with and without the ball; is faster; better in the air; works harder; is a better selector of the right pass at the right time; and more accurate with his basic passing; reads the game more adequately (often saw him in the right covering position whenever a French attack broke down); gets up and down the field more swiftly and generally looks a much better prospect for us in that position than the current incumbent.

Doing the simple things stood out to me, the simple first time pass forward or backwards to keep thing ticking over without trying to go past two players and getting caught and losing shape, another thing that Mong is good at doing.

Bring him in I say, it will bring us much needed balance.

Coquelin is the future in that position IMO, I think he has it all for that role but its too early for him to be playing every week there (even though if it was a toss up between him Song he would play for me but I don't pick the team)

M'Vila and Arteta together would give the back 4 strong protection and discipline.

Interesting, the way I saw it Benzema was the only French playing trying to make things happen going forward by dropping deep and using his skill and passing to actually get France into the Spanish third. People complain that he wasn't in the box enough but whats the point of going in the box when Ribery is busy tackling his own players and giving the ball away cheaply, often by trying to do too much.

Although it must be said the Spanish did a very good job of identifying Ribery as the threat and doubling up whenever he had the ball.

I agree about Ribery.
Augie, you were right first time, Ribery is the French Robben. He does work a bit harder but, like Robben, he generally gets the ball, puts his head down and runs around with it until he loses it. For me, he's been one of the most disappointing players in the competition.

Kos was very good but most of the rest were poor.

England have to be happy now going in 0-0 at half time - the italians have been a poor 2nd half team in all their matches plus england have more options on the bench especially those with pace
