Have to admit I took great pleasure in watching Cashley A-Hole fuck up his penno. Nothing anti-English in it (before anyone wets their pants  ) I just hate that slimey little chav crunt with a passion. I sincerely hope your media turn on him en masse! 8)

Grannyshagger was woeful but then being banned for the first couple games is not the best preperation. I was amazed that Johnson played so well as I too don't rate him in the PL. As much as I hate to admit it Cashley A-Hole played very well.

I think alot of people underestimate the Italians a bit too though. They are dogged in posession and whilst they are no world beaters they can grind out results. Still, when it comes to playing against the Germans or Spanish they will be exposed.

All in all though, Ingerland were a couple of shit pennos away from being heroes after a gutsy defensive performance tbh. And we all know pennos are a lottery. Hard luck, lads.

I think Roy did the best that he could with the time and ability at his disposal. Hart and, I surprise myself in saying it, Johnson were good throughout. Young, Milner and Rooney were poor. I too think Roy should have taken Rooney off, but the press love the granny-shagger and would have gone for Roy for taking off 'our one world class player'. He was also one of the few who could be relied on at penalty time.

I know it is the Sun newspaper but they gave racist terry 8 out of 10 and lescott only 6 out of 10  Most of us over here and ray houghton on Irish Tv thought that the italians were continually exposing scumbag terrys lack of pace with balls over the top and it was his centre back partner that kept bailing him out

I did notice John Terry cuddling up to his Mixed race and coloured players at every Possible moment during the competition, and especially during the Penalty fuck up ,no doubt hoping that Defoe (and Ledley King ) won't testify against him when or if he ever gets to court and that the others will be character witnesses !

Italy couldnt beat them over 120 minutes of football...couldnt score a goal even....

England....didnt actually lose a game of football in the tournament...but a penalty shootout...

Young scores and its a story of fight and passion and ressillience, he didnt so they lost a shoot out.

Forget individual performances coz the squad was thrown together due to the late appoointment of the manager. They didnt lose a game....Very good acheivment.
Look past the results. In all four games England were outplayed. They werent playing Spain or Germany.England players looked petrified on the ball.Passing to a team mate was beyond them.England got as far as the Greeks and that is where England are. A team that qualifies for the knockout stage but as soon as they play the first decent team they get knocked out.Sound familiar?

Is it really an achievement to get knocked out in the QF of every tournament? Since England last won anything the Czechs Denmark and Greece have all won major tournaments. The penalty shoot out defeat will be used as a smookscreen just like it has been in previous tournaments

I don't blame Hodgson at all, those are the players he had to work with and you have to say taking them within a shootout of the semis isn't a bad effort, he sacrificed stylish football (as if England have played that anyway) and popular decisions for the chance of success.

Saying that, England in no way deserved to go through. It may have been painted as a victory for resilience if they'd won the shootout but in reality on an objective assessment it would have been a travesty had they done so (much like Chelsea's CL run). Anybody directly comparing Scholes to Pirlo must realise that he's 4 and a half years older and started a handful of games last year. Pirlo played all but one game in Juventus' unbeaten league season at the heart of their midfield, Scholes had unlimited time and could still pull the strings against Bolton, QPR etc at Old Trafford but was exposed against better teams as simply far too old. His legs have been steadily going for years, anybody who thinks that he would have been as effective as Pirlo is in my view borderline insane.

I don't particularly like England because the majority of players playing in the squad are *word censored*... but looking at their squad they did pretty well to get where they did but they lucked out big time also... a bit like when England got to the 1990 World Cup semi-finals... and as for Cashley... it makes me wonder if he missed the pen on purposes... but it couldn't have happened to a worse *word censored* than him... and even the divefest Young got into the act... what comes around does sometimes come around..

Now that the dust is settling on England's exit can anyone please explain to me why the media are going overboard about the performances of Stevie Gerrard over the tournament ? Two very good assists apart I thought he was slow and his touch was poor. For me England's best performers were Lescott and Johnson with Cole also doing ok. Johnson really surprised me throughout, and I thought that Lescott read the games better than Terry.
The reality was (surprisingly) outlined by Phil Thompson on SSN today , he said that only Wilshere from England could be compared to Iniesta or Xavi or even Pirlo. I do think a fit Jack would have had a great tournament. Rooney was dreadful, his touch and his passing were terrible. I accept missing the first two games didn't help, but any world-class player would not suffer from missing two games in terms of ability. I think the mistake Roy made was publicly pinning so much of his hopes on Rooney's return.
