To be fair you should at least have the players in their proper positions!! Cygan and Van Bronckhorst (the latter of which I believe shouldn't even be on the list) are not nominated in the role they actually played for us (except maybe occasionally). In that spirit can I nominate Eboue for right back? :barscarf:

Richard Wright - Always capable of dropping a clanger.

Jason Crowe - Sent off after 33 seconds on his debut.
Igor Stepanovs - 6-1 against Man Utd.....
Gus Caesar - Seriously, no competition.

Eddie Mcgoldrick - Thought he was Pele..
Jimmy Carter - Always had a trick but mainly fooled himself.
Mark Flatts - Tiny, tiny player.
Stefan Malz - Came in from obscurity and left into obscurity.

Fabián Caballero - Played for us 3 times and got sent off for throwing a punch.
Clive Allen - Signed and sold 8 weeks later, never played a competitive game.
Kaba Diawara - Played about 12 games hit the woodwork about 30 times never scored.

Can't believe there is no room in your team for any of Wenger more recent signings (i.e. last few years). :? Are you a AKB? :rubchin:

Glad you said that. I spent 20 minutes arguing with someone about that. I finally caved and went with a punch. Time to get the argument going again.

Might even have to google it!

Here's my effort of Graham/Wenger players. There are many players who only played a handful of games, but this is from players who had a semi regular place in the team.

Goalkeeper: Fabianski (Never had faith in him).

Right Back: J. Hoyte (Fast, OK tackler but positioning?)
Centre Back: Stepanovs (OK tackler but positioning?)
Centre Back: Squillachi (Very worst of Wenger's buys)
Left Back: Cygan (Never understood what he was up to)

Defensive Midfield: McGoldrick (Lost in space)
Defensive Midfield: Hillier (Help you with your bag, Sir?)

Right Wing: Carter (Gooner but out of his depth)
Attacking Midfield: Van Bronckhorst (Ran around to little effect)
Left Wing: Helder (Great debut, then self lobotomised by seepage of jherri curl juice into his skull)

Striker: Diawara* (Hilarious)

* Gets some merit for winning the crossbar challenge every time.

GK-Manuel Almunia

DR-Emmanuel Eboue
DL-Mikel Silvestre
DC-Pascal Cygan
DC-Igors Stepanovs

MR-Jimmy Carter
ML-Eddie McGoldrick
MC-Denilson
MC-David Hillier

FC-Marouane Chamack
FC-Francis Jeffers

This is only judging from the players I have seen so from about 1993 onwards. Is slightly worrying that a lot of these are pretty recent and a couple of them are still in our squad! Manuel Almunia I chose because he was given chance after chance and was persisted with despite having a few good games. Richard Wright and Vince Bartram thankfully never got much game time for us and neither has Fabianski in comparison to Almunia!

LMAO at that line, genius. Stepanvovs and Willie Young at centre-half I reckon. Agree with Hillier and McGoldrick too.

I'm sure most teams have had their fair share of crap players, but looking at the above lists and thinking of other players not yet mentioned (Martin Hayes, Morrow etc) reminds me just how much we've suffered over the years and that shite players in the squad is not a new thing. I going to stop reading this thread.

I take it we are only talking of the Wenegr era, even then to include these 3 players is ridiculous. They may not have been superstars, but in the case of Alliadiere and Senderos we currently have worse at the club, in the form of Djorou, Chamakh and Vela, as for Van Bronkhorst, I take that you've never seen Luis Boa Morte play
