It would be a pity if that's the case Boomer. Don't want to down play your sensitivities but wouldn't it be simpler to just install a spell checker? My spelling has never been the best and like OneBard I have to work extremely hard to make sure the mistakes I do make are minimal. I often have to open another window and google a word I'm trying to spell when I see that I've made an error with my spelling. And guess what? It's slowly but surely getting better by the day!!

As for the piss-taking, well we all get loads of that and as you know you're not the only one to be constantly linked with a certain 'weakness'!! I'm known for being constantly high as a kite; DB10 for being a short arse; BG for being a ladyboy; herd for being a sweat-shop wanna-be Ross Kemp; sid and augie for being miserable bastards, Number 5 for wishing he was a gay yank and Rolypoly for believing he's a good lawyer!! Never mind what we write about flash , but that's a different subject altogether!! I could go on but surely you get the point mate?

One by one the longer term members of this forum are drifting away for whatever reason and I for one feel sad about it

Boomer, clearly this isnt about whether you are a good speller or not but seems to be about how the piss taking has affected you - clearly you need a thick skin to survive on here at times and it can wear any of us down but the flip side is that, most of the time, the banter and craic on here is good fun. Obviously due to the enforced break from here (when the forum was shut down) you and a few others have decided that you wouldnt miss the place as much as you thought and have decided to opt out and while I know that this wasnt a snap decision I would still implore you the reconsider over the coming weeks cos most of us have missed you and would like to see you return

Just a quick point, most of the replies after mine earlier have mistakes in them. It was always mine that were scrutinised.

As I mentioned I can take the joke but the real issue was that joke often took away from the post topic. I felt that I wasn’t able to or allow to post without fearing for some smart arse pointing out the error. Some of you have already done this following my post, that’s fine & funny as it’s in context with this “Boomer” thread. The problem was when I was posting on a serious topic/debate. That’s not funny, not for other forum members.

Boomer, without wishing to come across all sensitive or anything, but are you saying that I was one of those that took the piss taking too far ? I honestly cant remember taking the piss on the subject at all although I probably did cos I usually do enjoy taking the piss

Therefore if there is a joke about your spelling, my armchair hlebby being a heroin addict , One Bard being obsessed with arse talk etc etc etc i think people have learnt to those skip posts. If you're pissed off with the ribbing from everyone that's a different matter but because you're not posting it isn't going to stop those types of posts about virtually every other regular on here, i think that's one of the few things that over the years hasn't changed on here at all. So you going wont stop piss taking of everyone else on serious threads

Even though 'Sluggs' and 'Woodypecker' are well known Chav fans, I know for a fact that one of the band was a gooner, so it's good to know he visits the forum and keeps the other members informed!!
