Van Persie saga, officially not extending contract.

Not surprised at this news, the most annoying thing to me is that those shites from down the road are going to have orgasms at what is happening at The Arsenal!

absolutely pathetic of posters to say that rvp has acted without class and is in the wrong and claiming he is greedy. if we go with that argument any player leaving a smaller club to a club that contends for trophies is thus greedy and actually not ambitious to win medals, just greedy. all our signings from 'smaller' clubs are thus greedy, walcot, verm, arteta, sagna, all greedy. didnt move in the hope that there new club will have more of a chance of winning things, just moved cos of greed. hes coming towards the end of his career having won nothing, has seen the route the management are going to take as regards improving the side (or not as the case will be) and seen that it will be more of the same and not enough to compete and has thus taken the decesion to actually move to a club that could win something and thus give him something to show at the end of his career, im sure a better pay packet is a nice bonus on top of that, but he is moving for ambition as most thought before hand and he himself has now stated.

those questioning the timing of it...get with it, as if the club would have allowed him to issue a joint statement telling it like it is, they would have spun and spun and delayed and delayed, rvp has come out put his cards on the table and done whats in the best interests of the club (considering hes leaving) as they have a decent length of of time to sort it out and have no excuse for not doing so. i wish cesc and nas had said the exact same thing last year and it wouldnt have given the club any excuses.

likewise this bullshit about about rvp giving us one good season and people saying he owes us and that we moaned about giving him new deals cos of his injury record. the guys has given more than a season, get real, where is he on the scoring charts for us? bit more than a one season wonder, and when he was struggling with injury in seasons past, when actually fit he had shown what a fine talent he is. thats the difference. thats why he justified the club retaining him throughout the past 7 years as he has shown genuine class. diaby et al havent yet get new deals.

its funny how we always tie the shite, who have shown nothing, to long term contracts, but the actual players who show talent consistently leave with their contracts running down.

akbs have been crapping on about he will stay, now he has completely contradicted them and given the reasons anyone with half a brain can see for leaving, they will all come out with the classless un loyal arguement. makes me sick. good luck robin, glad you have finally said what needed to be said and that your move forces the club into action and benefits the greater good.

anyone who questions his decision, timing of the statement or content, are naive in the extreme and need to take there blinkers off.

gunnersarus maybe you have a point, about them showing a bit more ambition this year.

But its a case of too little too late. Its been coming. 2010-2011 we had a chance to win that poxy cup and we couldn't do it and last season, management were complacent and we started we halfa team. For RVP, more money and trophies is a no brainer of an offer to take.

I just think nobody believes in the club's plans anymore. Wenger could charm players in the past buts its coming to the end. The rich clubs are showing how its done, and we're not evolving. Stan takes his cues from wenger, gazidis just spins and wenger is in denial.

Sorry mate totally disagree he was our club captain to slag down the club in that way was out of order I'm not happy how the club is run but we pay his wages and still do hope we fine him if joey Barton done that we would all be saying what a prick well he is but you get my point .

gunnersaurus, get real, they were only signed cos the club knew rvp was off! rvp is not sly, i suppose u would prefer he said nothing and the club just strung us alog all summer again until they could use the excuse of no having enuf time to replace cesc and nas. now they have no excuse for not replacing him.

kite, ur a wum! nothing wrong with people from rotterdam, and huntelaar isnt an upgrade.

vinny, when vela, denilson etc were breaking thru they never ever showed the ability that rvp did when he broke thru. people did mind that these players were given long term deals as they had done nothing to warrant it or even suggest they would warrant it. rvp did.

why do people turn on players they have supported as soon as they leave for better things, players who in this case and cesc's have actually shown effort and desire to drag the club along, amongst a sea of dross who couldnt give a shit about the club or success so long as their getting there wages for being average.

swimmer, hes leaving so he wont be club captain. as a supporter of the club and not wenger, im delighted he has said what he has said and cannot see anyway in it disrespecting the club. the only people it disrespects are the senile manager and cretinous board for their lack of ambition. in no way does it disrespect the club.

he is beng honest with the supporters and verifying what many have suspected for long time as regards the ambitions of those in control. would you have preffered he said nothing and let the club pretend all was fine until it was too late to replace him? he has give the club no excuse now for not replacing him as they have plenty of time.

I can't believe what I'm reading...

Soon people will say it is all RvP's fault coz he's a pretentious tw*t.... I guess that TH14, Cesc, Clichy, Nasri, Flamini, Toure etc... were all to blame for leaving as well! I mean, how could anyone want to leave our immaculate, splendid club?

I think people need to start to realize that players, unlike us, are not fans. A player doesn't need to be a fan of a club to play for it. Unlike us, that want success for our club, they want success for themselves FIRST! And that is only natural. No they are not cn*ts, they are just concerned about their personnal success, because it is they're life, and, after all, they'll always be far more concerned then we'll ever be!

Now on the Rvp matter... How can it be more obvious? We are all already more or less aware that the direction of the club is a shambles! The RvP case is just yet another proof of what we all suspected for some time now. Remember last summer? Arsene: "if we lose Nasri and Fabregas, our captain, in the same summer, we cannot pretend to be competing for anything"... What next? We lose them.... This summer Arsene went even further in stupidity by wuming the Italians with his "Italian league is poor, why would rvp want to come there? I'll buy you a caramel..." I can't express how ashamed I was when I heard this. You poor mong tw*t! Telling Ac Milan, Juve, Napoli, Inter that they're not big clubs.... We Arsenal, 0 CL, telling Milan's 7 times Champions that our player would never play for a small club like them... Dear God!

I'm sorry, I love Arsenal, and I always will. But as long as we have the same owners and manager, we will deserve all the stick that will come towards us. We are fast becoming a small time club. It's painfull but it's the truth.

Arsenal remind me of Spinal Tap....not just coz they go up to eleven, but all their drummers suffer from instantaneous Combustion - - If you become Arsenal's Captain you get sold. :rubchin: :rubchin: :rubchin:
