New captain? Vermaelen to leave?

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

I repeat who cares we are shit. Without the amazing Van Persie we would have finished 8th.

Good luck Arsenal thankyou so much for getting rid of Dein. What an amazing day for the club that was. Been amazing since then.

Arteta for me. Solid, rarely caught off position while wipes Song's arse for the matches.

Sagna. He's been here a long time and has led by example on the pitch, particularly with his cracking header against Sp*rs that started off a fantastic afternoon. I don't think he gets enough credit but I think he could be a pretty good job. No doubt TV5 second though, while Koscielny has been more defensively stable Vermy has that energy that can galvanize those around him.

On as more positive note the RVP statement said he will be talking to Gazidis when he returns from his holidays.
Maybe just maybe the purse strings will get loosened a bit and we buy some defenders and A real holding midfielder !
