Ha, I should have known that ITV are always second rate!

Tbh Arseblog has a good few points on HOW RVP did it. I wont defend the club, but you do have to wonder what he's gaining from coming out with this other than a PR move to try and ease the fans when he inevitably fucks off to City.

Its all very sad.

He knows the club would.not chose to sell him to City.

He knows he wants to go to City.

He knows City or any other club won't pay 25m+ for a 29 year old with one year left and an injury record like his

It is clear what he is trying to do, he is trying to pick a fight to force himself out at a reasonable price.

The club need to call his bluff.

And I don't mean call his bluff because I want him to stay, I mean call his bluff as his statement was disrespectful, yes we agree with a lot of it but we are supporters, he is an employee with a suspect record, he is not the manager, last time we were going for the league he was sitting on the injured table, he has no place to act the tortured soul, that's our jobs.

He signed a contract while not fulfilling the clubs ambition of seeing him perform week in week out, he's got no class.

*word censored*.

^^^^THIS^^^^

After a fairly sleepless night, and going through a lot of negative emotions I kinda hoped to read today's news headlines which included the club proclaiming to keep RvP at any cost. Rather like a reiteration of what Wenger said earlier on this week.
Silly git, I sometimes do get concerned at my own naievity.
I imagine that this drama will play out for most of the weeks before our first match of the season, and I feel increasingly embarrassed, year on year, by the handling of our players contracts and the consequences.

That said, I applaud RvP for keeping the supporters informed. Whether he is attempting to scare the board into doing something substantial with regard to buying established PL players, or is just plainly seeing a final big pay day, I don't know.

I was surprised that he chose to do what he did, but like I say, I am unsure of his motives. I, for one shall not knock the bloke though.

Still bloody angry though. I actually want Kroenke to leave, now. When that should happen the other dominos will fall.

This is why I am confused by those slating rvp's announcement - last season all fans were slating cesc for not coming out and being honest about his wish to leave so now rvp has done it and he is wrong too ? How the fcuk can you win ? :?
Difference was Cesc was not in his last year if his contract or did he slag the club off like RVP for right or for wrong the strength of his statement was to me out of order .

He can hide behind "ambition" all he likes, he is 29, this will be his last big contract, he is only doing what you and i would do. If another company wanted me and were willing to double my pay i would be off, i only wish he had the balls to say this. This ladies and gentleman is modern day football.

Another worrying side effect from this is that the board could be scared shitless of an almighty backlash if they lose another "star" player so could end up giving feo walnut a bumper deal to stay - please people don't do it cos there might be a bigger backlash if you do that than if you sell him

Wouldn't it be funny if walnut stated his wish to leave cos of his ambition to win medals ? Won't ever do fcuk all for a team chasing honours

Look, lets not kid ourselves chaps- this is a thinly disguised move by RVP to get a move to City- how much money do these footballers need, he has had one great season with the club and we thank him for that, we wet nursed him when he was constantly injured,-show some loyalty- he owes us and he 'loves the club', so sell the money grabber now :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

Oh and another thing...... we have sold Henry, Vierra, Cesc etc.... and in a money driven PL we still put in a good show, no one is bigger than this club- FACT, right l'm off for my counselling :barscarf:

Fair sentiments there 1989.

I suppose that my real concerns lay within the running of OUR club.
Gazidis and his Bob Diamond straight bat tactics at AGM's, and lying through his teeth.
Kroenke knowing he has thousands of lemming supporters believing in an outdated manager mental strength. Allowing him to fleece the club on the back of former glory days.
A manager that has tried to hoodwink the supporters whilst all being rosey in his yard, "I'm alright Jack".
A manager that has no composure, and is now known for his inability to acknowledge a defeat with grace, and finally the AKB's and their :censored: In Arsene we trust, there's only one AW.

We have quickly become the laughing stock of the PL. I can no longer seek solace in the inadequacies and shortcomings of other club's, due to our own.

I shall always remain a supporter, but at this point in time, my heart is not in it.

And how did he slag off the club? He has been more honest than Cesc was and certainly more honest than Wenger who was reassuring us that robin would stay, when he knew damn fucking well that he had no intention of staying, and then jokingly betting fucking icec ream cones on it.
Wenger is a dishonourable shit, a liar and a fucking hell of a lot more besides.

Fans have every right to slag down there club how much they like lack of ambition ect ect

But our club captain coming out with a statement like that after taking home over 15 mill in wages of our hard earned money we had just brought a German with over 100 caps and only 27 and The French league top scorer not bad for starters and I do not care what people say they are NOT a replacement for RVP . If I said what he did at my work I would be sacked blaming all but himself who does he think he is .

Hope he goes to City show his true colours and take 200 grand a week and stick it up his arse .

Giroud is exactly that, do you really believe Wenger would have bought him had rvp signed a new contract? because if you do then I pity your wit.
