R.I.P Ernest Borgnine

My main memories of him are from The Poseidon Adventure and Airwolf...but he was in loads of films.

I mostly remember playing the 'bad guy' roles.....very distinctive face - manic smile etc - I liked him in Ice Station Zebra 8) I think he was the taxi driver in Escape from New York wasn't he?....(who on earth would want Snake Pilston as a passenger!)

Kat in All Quiet on the Western Front is my favourite film of his....

Kat could scrounge food where there was none to scrounge!
