Dicko for me too as well.

Not old enough to remember Male's or even Rice's playing career so voted for Lee based on his achievements for the club despite being technically inferior to either Lauren or Sagna.

Model pro, good player and proper legend. Only 21 caps or so too?

Dixon was a part of the best back four ever built by GG.They were a defensive unit. But if we are comparing Dixon and Sagna it has to be Sagna because he is a better player. Its like saying Winterburn was better than Cole.

If you're talking about best player in terms of ability then it's Bac followed by Lauren followed by Dicko

If you're talking about achievement its Dicko followed by Lauren followed by Bac

Sagna is arguably the best right back in the world, don't think Dixon ever reached that level.

agreed, i think Sagna is prob the best in the world. i wouldnt say people like Richards, Ramos etc are anywhere near as good, and people like Dani Alves is more of a Support striker than i RB, also the above mentioned are not tested like out RB are,

i would like to see Ramos playing alongside Squilacci, Djourou and Santos to give a equal perspective

This must be a joke.
Have you ever seen a decent cross from him? His attacking abilities are substandard, his defensive skills are okay, but only slightly above average imo.

what 'best' means needs qualification
if it's lifetime contribution to Arsenal then Geordie Armstrong prob walks into a first XI
if it's one season Limpar '91 is hard to shift...

Seriously guys, Sagna is a good defender but no more. Still wanders off to join the attacking players when not appropriate (mostly to little effect) way too often for a supposedly defensive minded and experienced player, rather than assessing the options and making the right decision for each particular situation (like Dixon often used to). He just appears 'great' because a) he's not Eboue; b) he's better than the left back and his other defensive team-mates.

(Tin Hat firmly on!!)

I think that Sagna's very good but I wouldn't say he's better than Ramos, Maicon or Alves the cheat as he doesn't offer as much offensively but by Christ thank God he's not Eboue.
