c/league draw

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

The Liverpool Echo is running the story online as well.

Seems that some people are worried about playing the Arsenal and shouting 'fix'

BTW . . . Has Pancho been kicked off?
Welcome Ginge. This story is amazing. You should have put a summary for the lazy b's who can't be arsed to read the thread. Basiaclly at 10.28 this morning somebody was on the Liverpool Echo website with the draw!  :?

Welcome mate that story is amazing you can see from the times of the posts that the person had got the draw exactly right an hour and a half before the "live draw". We will never get to the bottom of it if there was a fix but is amazing coincidence

Very, very dodgy re the draw. Doubt it'll hit the press though, it'll all be swept away under the carpet.

Cheers lads,

I'm guessing that it's all coincidence but it wouldn't surprise me if UEFA had plans to put three on the English sides on one side of the draw to prevent an all English final.

Couple that with United being in Barcelona's (the favourites) side of the draw it does seem to suggest that some higher power doesn't want two sets of English fans in Moscow.

Of course I may just be a synical old fool . .

In the Champions League, you have to want who you draw. So Liverpool it is and we have every chance of beating them.

I would have prefered Barca than Chelsea in the semis though.

WELCOME TO THE FORUM LEGINGE. NOW THAT'S WHAT I CALL A GREAT FIRST POST!! 8)

IT CERTAINLY SEEMS VERY SUSPICIOUS SEEING AS THE BOOKIES APPARENTLY WOULDN'T TAKE BETS ON THE DRAW AS EARLY AS YESTERDAY.

BY THE WAY, ONE OF THE POSTS ON THAT THREAD CLAIM THAT THE MIRROR HAVE PICKED UP THE STORY. I SHALL BE LISTENING TO RADIO5LIVE THIS EVENING TO SEE IF THEY MENTION IT.

Cheers IHH. Thought I'd better make my first post a good one! All downhill from now on.

It will be interesting to see if there is any fallout, especially if the red tops run with it!!!!

I still think we got a decent draw out of it.

DID ANYONE ELSE SEE KEITH ENDLEMAN ON SKY SPORTS NEWS WHISPERING SOMETHING AFTER WE WERE DRAWN OUT AND BEFORE OUR OPPONENTS WERE KNOWN?

HE REPEATED THE SAME WORD TWO OR THREE TIMES AND FROM WHAT I COULD MAKE OUT HE WAS SAYING EITHER THE WORD CHELSEA OR SCHALKE. DID ANYONE ELSE CATCH THAT? :?
