metro - chelsea sign 20 yr old Brazilian oscar for 25m.

mail - adebayor to spuds for 6m. 115k a week plus 4 million sign on. (similar to rvp's alleged offer no ?)

mail- wenger to board : sign RVP by Friday or sell him....

In Holland it appears that Arsenal is seriously moving for Ibrahim Afellay.

Not only reckon I Afellay as a good signing (good movement, pace, goalscoring ability and technical good skills), he's also a very close friend of RvP. Both personal and on the pitch.

In Holland it's stated that this possible signing will solve a lot of Van Persies disagreements with the board, since he clearly suggested Wenger to buy Afellay.

Mind you, Dutch papers are not suggesting all possible combinations of clubs/players like the British tabloids. So this case is really being worked on.

I'd like to hope so, personally I don't see it happening, primarily because he would be a great signing and not cost too much, not to mention showing serious ambition. It makes too much sense for us to act on.
