what does it take to make people happy?

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

A better signing than Giroud to replace RVP would be nice... Look, the lad may be class, I've not seen him play often enough to have a firm opinion BUT I maintain that a top class player like RVP should always be replaced by a player who is proven.

For every Henry (he wasn't unknown but you get my point) we sign 4 Francis Jefferses.

Exactly fucking right

None of this bollox about us spending money or not having the funds for star players

It would make me happy if every time we sold a player we replaced with another player worth the same. Ie 30mil for cesc, sign a 30 mil player

25 mil for nasri we sign a 25 mil player

Sell RVP 20 mil and we should get a 20 mil player

Makes me fucking sick we get cnuted off the way we do by the club.

Giroud should be bought to replace Cham, Barry, aa23, park same as pod

TBF that would be a pretty awesome rate of return...

This, above, times 100... but nowadays we shop at the bargain basement level.

pretty harsh to call Podolski and Giroud 'bargain basement'
top scorers in Germany and France, 100 caps and a league title

who could we/would you sign instead?
Ibrahimovoch and Cavani might move
but probably only for the sort of wages RVP wants...
