Ticket price changes

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

My feeling is that it's more PR and what the club is apparently 'giving' with one hand, is being snatched away by the other. As most tickets in the North Bank pricing example used by the club are held by ST holders and won't be available to buy for Cat C games, isn't the reality that it's the Upper Tier tickets which are the ones that the club will be really trying to get rid of and they sure as hell won't be anywhere near the £25.50 being boasted about!! :banghead:

Fulham and QPR cat B?? Why? They are mickey mouse clubs with mickey mouse support and are as attractive as a bird with cold sores! :banghead:

When will people realise that Arsenal football club are NOT going to give the fans something for nothing!!! They want to scam you for every sinhle penny they can whilst telling everyone that they have a financial model (ie: won't spend what is required and what they have).

I will not set foot inside the Emirates until Wenger goes and the board has a complete rethink about it's priorities.

35 is still face value, my st is 990! So no chance will I sell at 25

no it's not.

If you sell for £35, when the real face value is £25, you're basically using them to subsidise your cat A ticket by overcharging some poor soul to watch Wigan or Sunderland.

You say you're "losing out" by selling at real face value, but you're not - you just don't like the idea of paying more to watch cat A games... and I can assure you, we all feel a bit aggrieved at cat A prices, but I'm not sure the answer is to ask someone else to help you lower that cost by overcharging them for less glamorous games.

Yes, maybe people will still buy from you at above face value, but it doesn't make it right, I'm afraid. No matter how you dress it up. :?
Yes g88ner, I wasn't completely convinced by mikey's "I don't care what the club charges" argument either!

They are not losing a penny in this rearengement and the stadium should be more filled on those matches, which is good PR for them. Win-win for them.

lol. i noticed that.I guess West Ham are cat B too...

perhaps the board hopes to fill the empty seats on general sale with their fans as it's just a short hop for them.

makes no sense at all.

ST holders should charge mates the equivalent of Silver/Red price for matches. I used to for the Cat A/B's when I had a ST. Not sure why folks would pay more than face value for the Cat C's.

Only problem is that Cat A prices are going to put a lot of people off. Watch most of them at home, internet or pub.

It will be very interesting to see the attendances next season. Too many empty seats at Cat C equivalent last season.
I suspect the lower prices will sell out the Cat C's and the Cat A's might suffer.

If I read it right CL are Cat A - that is going to be a problem.

The club has been very clever here, they put PR out about lowering prices for cat C games knowing full well a decent cup run and they will be raking in the dough, you watch em go all out in the FA cup this season in the hope our cup vouchers go early then hit us all with the Cat A charges,
Being a cynic I guarantee if we have cup credits left over these will be credited back as Cat C

Agreed, its all spin again but when you scratch the surface its not that much of a good deed as the club more than make the money up in the Cat A games.

All those that cherry pick the big games are screwed now, makes the silver membership a curse more than anything now.
