What's the betting the FA now also let him off the hook?! There is no doubt there is more damning evidence against him than there was against Suarez but they can use the court evidence to find him not guilty.

No way the FA can even investigate now really. At the end of the day as much of a saga as this has become, it's pretty hard-pressed to beat the Evra/Suarez affair. At least this mockery was carried out by somebody with the authority to do so.
This unsurprising verdict is one of the many reasons that this should never have gone to trial. 1) It was two blokes screaming abuse at one another, 2) the 'victim' didn't even hear the alleged racial abuse, but was upset when someone told him what a lipreader believed had been said, 3) he was so upset that he didn't make a complaint or give a statement for ages after the event, 4) JT can now play the "I'm delighted to have been proved innocent because I'm clearly not a racist" card.
The CPS were in a very difficult position. They would have had all sorts of abuse if they hadn't proceeded and there was evidence to support a prosecution (we saw it and formed a clear view of JT's action).
Apologies to those of you that already know this, but procedurely the prosecution have to disclose their case to the defence in advance of the trial. The defence do not need to reciprocate. Thereby, the defence can view the case against them and decide how to mount their defence. They, like 'Arry and many others, opted for making it confusing (all the 'I thought he was saying that I said that he said' etc etc). It is then very difficult to prove 'beyond reasonable doubt' and JT, like innumerable scumbags before him is not guilty.
The moment of misunderstanding in the trial arose when Terry was asked to repeat the evidence that he had been sent off four times in his career, so the court could hear him.
“Can you say, please, four times?” asked his QC, George Carter-Stephenson.
“Please, please, please, please,” Terry responded.
Huge laughter broke out around the courtroom.
Terry, for his part, looked bemused at the response.
I agree that the fa will do fa (fcuk all) but suarez is going to be royally pissed off if/when that happens. I have always believed that if suarez was english he would not have been done which is racist in it's own way
I think you're right Augie, on a completely different subject matter, but the same attitude etc...It reminds me of the way the media went on a witch hunt , after Eduardo went down easily in the game against Celtic....the times *word censored* like rooney and young et all have Dived/Cheated and not a dickie bird from the media because they're not foreign - some call it a form of jingoism, some nationalism - but for me by any other term it is racism.
It looks like the FA may find a way through this mess by charging both of them. They can then ban Anton for a couple of games and JT for a few more and keepd their heads down until it all blows over.

The Eduardo witch hunt really pissed me off. I was disgusted that he took the dive firstly. But then someone showed a camera angle that suggested there was contact but for me he dived, he left his foot in to try and initiate contact so a deffo dive.
But then the out of proportion media witch hunt by the same bastards that regularly kiss the hole off Rooney and Gerard (two of the biggest divers in the modern game) was truly sickening. It sends the message that diving is acceptable if you are English but not if you are a foreigner.
