As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.
I thought Ramsey looked sharp. Far more busy and direct than Allen. Hopefully a couple of games and similar performances will give him the confidence to push on and have a better season this year.
Makes me glad we don't have any key players playing in the tournament given the tackling policy implemented by the Senegalese yesterday and the referee's mentality that it was a friendly.
For those who think that women's football is a good standard, it's not. I hear rubbish about how women could play in the Conference at least. They couldn't. My club's youth team has played Bristol Academy, who were in the Women's Champions League last year, the last two pre-seasons, and have given them two hammerings to nothing. I've also watched women's football live, it's shit.
The goal for 'Team GB' on Wednesday was just a pass into the corner of the net that I would have been highly disappointed not to have caught as a keeper, never mind not got near.
I recognise the names of the goalscorers. Gooners?
Ended 3-0
Scorers were (I think)
Karen Carney - ex Arsenal
Jill Scott (you may have been thinking of Alex Scott who is a Gooner) - delightfully set up by gooner Kim Little.
Steph Houghton - Arsenal
definately qualified, with match v Brazil to determine 1st and 2nd place
it is always the same..
If you don't like the womens football then don't watch it and more important don't make stuipd comments!
All of them would run most of you out...
