He's definitely going regardless of whether or not we sign Cazorla and Sahin, the club know that which is why Podolski has still not been allocated a squad number. As far as I'm concerned the way he's handled himself has been really poor and he can fuck off now. He is meant to be captain of AFC and he's acting like a fucking spoilt brat and disrespecting just about everybody involved with the club in my eyes. Although ambition is undoubtedly a factor us signing other players doesn't suddenly mean we're going to offer him £200k/w+. People presume that players are the same as fans, they're not. In reality money is more important to the vast majority of players than trophies are.

he can fuck off for all i care, footballers these days only care about money no matter what they say and rvp is a sneaky ****, comes out with a statement about where the club is heading, club then signs 3 internationals and silence from the club captain

Wenger had already devalued the club captaincy, so anything that a player does can hardly diminish it further.
So many people on here acting like fucking babies. Footballer in looking after his own interests shocker...Management looking after their own interests shocker.
Still, it'd be nice to see him stay just to fuck with eneryone.

I don't think he will stay but if we do sign Cazorla and Sahin, then maybe one more player for around £15m/£20m and he then came out and said "The club have now addressed my concerns and I am willing to put pen to paper", what would people's reactions be?

nobody cares about his concerns - just the wage he demandsSkooner wrote:I don't think he will stay but if we do sign Cazorla and Sahin, then maybe one more player for around £15m/£20m and he then came out and said "The club have now addressed my concerns and I am willing to put pen to paper", what would people's reactions be?
if put get Cazorla, Sahin + 1 more big name on the books I'd wonder whether we could even afford to keep RVP
cold only see it if we somehow got money for Chamakh, Bendtner, Squillaci, Park, Denilson and Arshavin

I'm asking people what their reaction would be to a u turn, not whether we are concerned about his thoughts. My guess is there is a contract on the table from the club if he wants it but there is surely no doubt that he can get a better pay packet by leaving the club, so if he did a u turn then presumably it would put to bed the argument that all he is interested in is money? And just to reiterate, I'm not actually expecting this too happen but I don't think it can be completely ruled out of the equation either.highburyJD wrote:nobody cares about his concerns - just the wage he demandsSkooner wrote:I don't think he will stay but if we do sign Cazorla and Sahin, then maybe one more player for around £15m/£20m and he then came out and said "The club have now addressed my concerns and I am willing to put pen to paper", what would people's reactions be?

I don't want him gone
I want to hear him say that he wants to leave
I want RvP to remain our skipper and I want him to sign a new contract with us
I won't bad mouth him unless he goes to Shitty, I won't be happy if he goes to Manure but I could stomach that more.
Juventus probably won't get him due to their current match fixing issue...
So I'd love him to stay
