My only reservation is if he was injured most of last season whats going to happen to him when our medical team get their hands on him....
that's a good point

I just wish we could get Jack Wilshere back fit and strong asap...coz regardless of whom we are signing - He is/was well on his way to being "World Class". :? - the kind of player who would have the hallowed chant 'We've Got Jack Wilshere' - and that was reserved for God. :barscarf:

You lot make me laugh. Yes we will have signed a very good player if he signs from Malaga BUT Podolski might not be a revelation after all his team got relegated last year. Giroud could be amazing but could also flop. Above all else with Jenkison, Santos as back up to Sagna and Gibbs I honestly cant see us winning anything. No team with a dodgy defense wins anything. If Wenger signs a replacement for these players only then will I be excited.

If Messi was signing tomorrow, we shouldn't get excited because he *could* be a flop?

Podolski's team got relegated so he can't be any good? Wow...

I understand what you're saying but just because poldolski was part of a relegated side doesn't mean he is pants.

Barcawhora had a pretty dodgy defence for a few years

"You lot"...and who the fuck are you then? :banghead:

Please don't piss on our chips, it's the first time in years that we have been a bit positive during a transfer window.

As a "glass half empty" type of guy I have to say that you make me look utterly positive  The bottom line is that there is a risk with every single signing any club makes but the difference in this window is that we are at least signings players who shown quality elsewhere which is a good starting point in their careers with us. I do agree 100% that we haven't tackled our major weaknesses (although for me that is the DM position) so defensively I don't see much grounds for optimism but the reality is that wenger has left us in a situation where we had several major issues so it is unrealistic to expect a skinflint like him to address them all together. The best news we could have in this area is if barca firmed up their interest in song and we actually sell him for good money forcing us to replace him and reinforce the position. In the meantime dude let's enjoy the moment if we gin cazorla and sahin

Podolski isn't a game changing player like RVP can be, Poldi is more your solid game in game out player I think. He should contribute double figure goals, set piece options and decent wide play.

What annoys me is that if Wenger hadn't bought a soul the thread that is the Wenger points of view would be bursting with negative after negative, yet love or hate him he has bought potentially FOUR world class internationals....what more do you want?

YOU LOT need to realise that we have a striker who has scored as many international goals than anyone in the modern era...it ain't two bob Robbie 'The Odious Orish tosser' Keane, it's Lukas Podolski Germany's most prolific scorer of goals only surpassed by the legendary Gerd Muller.

YOU LOT need to realise we have a striker who has just won a title in France and scores goals that the Great number nines such as Drake, McDonald et al used to score..a man who will nod in plenty of goals like Smudger did.

YOU LOT need to realise Santiago Corzorla is utter utter world class and is the sort of signing YOU LOT have been screaming on about throughout these seven years of non trophy winning. The guy will bring an extra dimension to our game that has been missing since Robert Pires saw his number held up in Paris...

YOU LOt need to realise the Sahin is a player we all admire and know will bring that steal to the midfield that has been missing since Paddy knocked home that cup winning penalty...

Time to respect Wenger for at least trying to rectify things and tearing up the project.

I am happy with Kos, TV, Sagna and Gibbs.....now they have players in front of them who will do the job.
I am happy

YOU LOT should be too

1-0 to the Arsenal will be replaced with 6-4 to the Arsenal....at least YOU LOT will be bloody entertained!!
