McDowell its over dude...no more - Hallelujah

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

IT

AINT

HAPPENING

DUDE
I have a friend who works at the Guardian (Not Journo or sports person) and he said it's all about the small print and details...but Malaga have (at last minute) inserted a clause relating to borrowing some of Arsenal's young players, which is a win - win situation - but there's haggling over the wages - as Malaga have no money! ....

I'm just hoping it doesn't all fall apart now - but apparently Cazorla HAS actually put pen to paper!. :?

Mata was linked, then didn't sign and the clause expired - putting him out of our price range
hardly the same thing...
Malaga will be wound up unless they pay some debts, Valencia had big probs but not at that level

you'd think a debt-riddled club like malaga would be busting their guts to get him off their wage bill and get the transfer fee in the bank asap. of course in this case their financial problems are hindering the deal

It does say he's "set to sign", which has been the case for nearly a week. Sounds positive that he's gone with the squad to Germany though.

Spilled coke all over my keyboard.

"Having taken Adebayor on loan last season, Spurs agreed a £4m deal to sign him permanently.
City had agreed to subsidise part of Adebayor’s £175,000-a-week wages, meaning he would not lose any money by making the switch to White Hart Lane on a four-year contract.
But Adebayor stunned both Spurs and City by rejecting the deal unless he also receives the £4m fee and effectively moves on a free transfer.
He also only wants a two-year contract at White Hart Lane, so he can try to make even more money by moving on again in 2014. "

To be fair to him, it would take that amount of cash to get me to sign for that two bob outfit of a club as well
