Will be good to get rid but only if we sign somebody else. I don't care how much some people insist that he is dreadful and is the basis of our defensive incapability, our squad with Song is better than without, even if he clearly shouldn't be a banker to start DM every week.

Last season we needed someone to make up for the loss of creativity following Cesc's departure and Wilsh's injury. Due to this, maybe Song was instructed to attack more and bring out his creative side? Won't need to now though with a world class creative attacking midfielder in Cazorla arriving.

Let's not forget that in his breakthrough season, Song played as a strict DM and looked very promising.
Naaah mate - he has no discipline - which IS his (and our) problem...he obviously has skills and can 'pick a pass' as he's proven with great assists to RVP, but he seems to Zone Out and regardless of who else we might have in the team be they forward/s or defender/s...he'll still go walk about. sad but true. :|

For me he's got clumsy / lazy recently. I did hear a tale that he gets fined, daily £200.00 for turning up late to training. Just not interested.

We would need to replace though at all costs. I think he's the 2nd part of the "pre" midfield of him and Arteta protecting the back 4.

It is...the Spanish press are worse than ours for making up ridiculous rumours - (not quite as bad as mcdowell - but close! )

Remember this rumour in the spanish press a short while ago...:

http://www.talksport.co.uk/sports-news/ ... rts-171846

and that (unfortunately) was a load of bollocks - just like this rumour....how can they possibly agree personal terms with the player - If they have yet to make a 'formal approach' to Arsenal...the club have to agree any discussions/approaches for players or it's a case of the ole tapping up....yes they did it to Cesc but that is barca whores for you. :cussing: :banghead: :censored: :banghead: :cussing:

Hope it is true though get shot and bring in Sahin. :high5:

SHOUTsport getting something wrong? Their online stuff is worse than Durham and co on air. You get a snippet of "Van Persie Hates It At Arsenal"... then when you go in to it he hates it when they have spaghetti on Wednesday's after training or something.

Pay the other team to take him, he's a useless, thick, big headed wanker.

He can tackle really well, making steely challenges.

But as you point out, too often he does not do that, he instead bundles over his opponent giving away a free kick.

The main reason he fouls people is because he's hopelessly out of position when having to tackle people.

If I was tied to a chair with a gun pointed at my head I'd still struggle to pay this chap a compliment. It is worrying that Monsieur Song has been elevated to de facto key player status simply by omission of competition.

Sell, sell, sell, for as much as we can rinse out of whosoever is interested.

That's a good shout. Then has to give away a needless foul and gets booked for doing so.

I would love if the first part of your post is true cos it is the only thing that would give me any encouragement that wenger would be prepared to sell. I too fear for the sahin deal - as a rule of thumb, when deals we are meant to be involved in start to drag out then invariably the player ends up going elsewhere and it would be foolish to ignore moaninho's links to Brendan Rodgers and his love of Liverpool  That the sahin deal is linked to any possible departure of this Cameroon c**t also suggests that we won't get the Turk cos his destination will be long since decided before a decision on song is made :(

I just can't see Sahin coming in but then again, who knows? Personally - I'm surprised with how the M'Vila deal fell apart. It was literally down to agreeing the fee with Rennes and we were holding off as the player wanted Arsenal and Arsenal wanted the player so it was a case of waiting for Rennes to crumble... then nothing. We lost ALL interest?!

Song may well Bilong to Arsenal for now, but I wouldn't be too saddened if he went to Barca or anywhere really.
