So I haven't contributed for some time now but these are Just some of my thoughts!


Some or your are ridiculously rose tinted, i have supported arsenal all my life, but if i had to make the choice at 29/30 of where to finish my career, with the clubs as they currently are, i wouldn't even have to think about it, i would sign that united contract quicker than Fergie could print it!

Guess what, United, as big a bunch of %$^&'s as they are, THEY ARE GOING TO WIN SOMETHING, or at the very least, challenge for more than 65% of the season!

the team is already full of winners, with the mentality that what they have won is not enough!

i would know that everyone in the starting 11 (including myself) had earnt their place in that team!

my manager is tactically astute enough to change the team depending on who we are playing!

if i get injured, that will not mean im handed over to arsenals medical staff and my season over!

Yes i love arsenal, but that does not mean im blinded to the fact that we are NOT a top team anymore and havent been for some time!


Those of you who say its about the ALL ABOUT THE MONEY!
Think about it, the two clubs that want you MAN UTD and MAN CITY

BOTH offer a more or less equal chance of winning silverware
BOTH are in the same city
the only other variable to help your decision is your wages, in that scenario, of course you go for whoever offers you more, its not being a money grabber, its being sensible!

and ok he may have finally spent some money and bought decent players but that doesn't necessarily mean the way the team play, is set up, its mentality or attitude are going to change!
To make an analogy, if your baking a cake and throw the correct ingredients in the baking tray without the right amounts or without mixing them up, your not going to have a cake.
The same goes for our team, hes thrown some good new ingredients in but, he doesnt know how much or the correct way to mix them up!

A lot of hypocrites on here methinks - last season the lesbo left to join citeeh and he was (rightfully) slated by all and sundry on here saying that if he really left to win medals then he would have joined manure instead of citeeh but now fast forward a year and rvp has made it known that he won't join citeeh but is meant to be interested in joining manure and we are still saying it is money motivated.........make up yere decking minds ffs Fact is that rvp made a public statement that was 100% correct and the club have reacted by spending some money in anticipation of his departure and that of a few others. If we had of splashed the cash in other areas of the pitch (DM, left full, back up keeper) that needed correcting then it would have allowed rvp to do a u turn stating his hope that we could now challenge again but of course we only spent money to replace what wee are losing and the key areas are still not addressed but there will be no room for van persie to stay now anyway All very handy for those who wish to tag the guy as a mercenary

I wasn't aware that he declared he doesn't want to join City in any way? As far as I know United are likely to sign him because they're the only club who have bid enough for Arsenal to consider. I don't really see how it makes a difference which Manchester club he joins, in reality he'll be earning around £200k/w anyway and City are actually a better team so joining United instead is no vindication whatsoever. The bloke was apparently willing to go to Juventus, a team that has about as much chance of CL success as we do and play in arguably Europe's 4th-best league, some ambition.

Be as negative as you like but we have signed 3 very good players and RvP has given absolutely no indication that he cares about this at all. When people were saying he should sign a new deal on the basis that he has spent a total of about 4 years picking up considerable pay packets from the treatment table, I was slightly reserved due to him carrying us last year and us being hopeless, but now that we have added some genuinely talented players to our ranks that argument holds far more weight to be honest.

The statement he gave may have hit some difficult home truths but it was completely self-serving. It's a pity, but so many people on here are so concerned with being so smug that they can see through Wenger/Gazidis/the club's propaganda that they don't realise that RvP as an individual is using these doubts to mug the fans off and deflect attention away from his own decision.

As far as I'm concerned he can fuck off. He has acted like a whore throughout the whole summer, the way he's conducted himself has been nothing short of a disgrace. I actually hope he leaves. I by no means like seeing us selling our best players but if we get somewhere around £25m for a player with his age and injury record who has made it clear that he thinks 1.5 good seasons clearly outweighs 6.5 seasons of him accumulating millions at our expense with barely any return (not to mention us taking a huge punt on him given that Feyernoord shipped him out due to his attitude) then frankly he can fuck off. He'll have to have another 2 seasons like last year to justify that fee, and I just don't see him doing that. Oh, and he's a *word censored*.

I have absolutely no problem with Van Persie wanting to leave for whatever reasons he want's..........None.

What I have a problem with is his statement.
After many years of injuries he eventually gives us a good 12 months in which he is made Captain and then he comes out and slates the Club and the Manager shows a distinct lack of class and he should never have done it.
I always regarded him highly before that but lost a huge amount of respect for him because of the statement.

In saying that I hope he stays but only because he wants to stay as I think we would be far better without him.

I also think it should be Arsenal policy to Not sell him to our direct competition.

The two muppets on TalkSport (Durham & Gough) are saying it's virtually a done deal with Man Utd. If this is true, and let's be honest, most of TalkShite's output is crap, then it ranks alongside Stapleton and RVP will never be welcomed back.
