Last season we needed someone to make up for the loss of creativity following Cesc's departure and Wilsh's injury. Due to this, maybe Song was instructed to attack more and bring out his creative side? Won't need to now though with a world class creative attacking midfielder in Cazorla arriving.

Let's not forget that in his breakthrough season, Song played as a strict DM and looked very promising.
Naaah mate - he has no discipline - which IS his (and our) problem...he obviously has skills and can 'pick a pass' as he's proven with great assists to RVP, but he seems to Zone Out and regardless of who else we might have in the team be they forward/s or defender/s...he'll still go walk about. sad but true. :|
I remember Wenger saying he's encouraged Song to attack more to sort of "fool the opposition" and confuse them.

Spends more time up the field than sitting in front of the back four thus every opposition breakway is attacked through the space he's left, As for his" killer passes", for every one of them there are many, many more that go astray.

Rumoured( as i say rumoured) to be acting "Billy Big Spuds" in the dressing room as well

By the way, where is the 'Sell, regardless of what we're offered' option? :? :rubchin:

For what it's worth, I'd sell Song but only if we bring a replacement in. No point in selling him otherwise, it'd just mean one less body in midfield and Diaby getting closer to a first team place - a truly frightening prospect.

This 'Diaby' you mention, I assume he can be bracketed with the tooth fairy, father christmas and the easter bunny as I'm sure he's a figment of my imagination.

I seem to recollect this 'Diaby' scoring a blooter against Derby, although I was very, very drunk.

Scratch that, I've just googled it - he DOES exist, I'm sure he'll be like a new signing in 2063.

Sell as long as we get Sahin in. I'm tired of Derren Dein's backstabbing of AFC!

They talk about Song being able to play in defence, if Song was to play often in defence for Barcelona I would put a fortune on Madrid winning the league.

If we had a fit Wilshere I would sell song, but without a fit Wilshere I would want a replacement if Song was sold.

It's absolutely laughable (and more than a little bit embarrassing   ) to read comments from Gooners on websites like sky's or different newspapers websites where they plead for song not to be sold and state how important and how good a player he is       :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

Would love to see the useless c**t gone but it is like the old saying "what comes first, the chicken or the egg ? " - personally I would sign sahin now if he is as good as suggested but even if that deal drags out then we should still be making strides to move this lardarse out. I fear that on sept 1st we will still be stuck with this c**t strolling around the pitch as trying to be king creator in a team that now has cazorla and poldi creating as well and all the time we will leave kos and chesney exposed to opposition attacks cos tv5 and giibs will also be AWOL and jenkinson will be like a rabbit caught in headlights   :cussing:

He seems to love it at the arsenal, I just wish he would use his brain more!
He has a brain  I'd be suprised given some of the decisions he makes...a lot of talent though it has to be said

I've seen this too...some crunts are even suggesting that losing Song will be worse than losing RVP  , you couldn't make it up.....

I would sell Song only if he was replaced(I know we'll get no confirmation on that) but I think that if we sign a good DM, he will be an OKish backup(squad) player.

If Sahin comes in we have yet another injury prone midfielder which is of course just what we need !
It will also be a loan deal NOT permanent.

We need to get rid of Chamakh,Bendtner,Lardshavin before we talk of Djourou and Song !
