Is it just me or does anybody else think that we've been so slow on this Sahin loan deal that somebody is going to come in and grab themselves a bargain for about £10m? Mourinho has made pretty clear he's not in his plans full stop from what I can read, and undoubtedly will let him go fairly cheap if somebody comes in with an offer ahead of loaning him out.
Yeah me too. Thought it was ripe at the end of last week and now nuffink   :rubchin:

Arsenal ladies have been linked with a move for Irish boxer Katie Taylor...she is a former Irish International. It is believed she may turn her back on boxing if she achieves her lifetime dream of an Olympic Gold ..... :D

Selling RvP to Manure cannot be allowed to happen. It's bad enough being a feeder club for the gazillionaires at Citeh, but to become Utd's bitch as well would be humiliating for us and send a big message to the football world as to where we are as a club.

I would much prefer to keep him than sell him to a British club. I suspect Utd would be less keen to offer him 220k pw when he's in his thirties and if we stand firm he may have to choose between a lucrative contract with AFC now or the uncertainty of the future. Age and injury may reduce his worth significantly.

He wanted us to show ambition and we have done so RvP, is it really just about the money?

I think it's linked to the Modric deal, if Real Madrid get him then that will speed up Sahin deal.

Agreed Joe the thought of becoming The Bitch for the other (top 5) clubs in the prem is sickening and humiliating...how long before the scum make an offer for Kos or Jack???...The thing is it should NEVER EVER have been allowed to get to this point....and once again it has to be said that this is all down to THE MIS-MANAGEMNT OF THE CLUB...from the board downwards. Some might argue from the time Dein was ousted it has been a downward spiral....

These new signings are great...but it is our defence that is most lacking we desperatelt need a LB and GK and a "Holding Mid-fielder" who doesn't wander off into La La Land like Song....I am beginning to suspect that it is a kind of temporary panacea to try and keep us Gooners pacified - and to keep us Gooners from going into Full Protest - Demonstration mode....something we all should have done some time ago. :banghead:  :cussing: :censored:

Chill everyone. Don't let one mercenary ruin the optimism. This has been timed perfectly by Fergie to destabalise a building Arsenal. Its designed to turn RVPs head.

I agree that we as a club should make it as hard possible for UTD to get rvp but an we honestly turn down £10-12m in a summer in which we’ve spent big and probably do need to recoup some cash?

If Rvp has decided to go there then surely the anger must be directed at him...i mean after knowing our rivalry and waht not - fair nuff its not been the case for the past 6 years but still when we were challenging them they were our biiter rivals.

im sorry to say this crunt is an even bigger mercenary than ade nasri and clichy if he goes there.

why do we have to balance the books? our so called exwmplerary model of self sustaining is shit.

we have to sell players to make it work. what other supposed top or challenging top club has to do that? not even sperz.

the question is why, where is all this money going, in days passed we had a transfer kitty of decent size, the glory years bergy, henry viera etc at highbury for example, where we didnt have to sell in order to balance spending.

is this money going on debt repayments,as i thought that had been sorted by having ringfenced cash in the bank already in order to meet future obligations?

where is this money going? (its not wages as our wages are about what we should be spending for a club of our supposed size, even though we certainly dont get value out of the wage spend and its allocated ridiculously)

For the gazillionth time it is sat in the bank. You can see it on Pravda.

Look at p12 of the pdf, page 27 of the report itself

Agreed but the worry is that out of the £50m profit - £46m came from 'Player Trading'

This suggests that without the funds from player sales we're pretty much looking at a net profit / available spend on players of £4-£6m

yes we have money in the bank to buy players but the club will need to reduce the current operating costs (i.e players wages) in order to continue to be profitable each year as if we were to sign another player on £75k per week and not reduce our wages that would effectively eat into our total annual profits and prevent us from having any kitty for next year . Basically long-term, inflated contracts to dross are hampering our ability to compete in the transfer market as much as anything else. Only one man is accountable for that...
