I passed in 1968. It was a
proper test in those days. You weren't allowed all these "minor" faults.

I also passed in 1968 and be fair Olgit; no theory test, far less traffic, no seat belts to remember and no mechanical knowledge needed at all! My father passed his test during the war. His (army) examiner had my dad drop him off at a house near the barrack gates and pick him up an hour later; he'd been to his girlfriends and gave my dad a pass without seeing him drive!
Well done for the pass, it's not easy these days.
