Van Persie saga, officially not extending contract.

Quartz I think the thing is we have more of a threat on goal from other areas now, rather than just relying on Van Persie

Podolski is more of a support striker/wide attacking midfielder.
I know Podolski plays wide for Germany, but I thought he played as a centre forward for Cologne? if so, then I'm assuming he can play there for Arsenal as an alternative to Giroud.

Tbh, until I've seen them both play a few games for Arsenal, I haven't really got a clue though :?

He did play there, so essentially, we have 2 strikers plus Chamakh - who also hasn't moved.

Unless Wenger moves for another striker, which I would be very surprised to see, then I think that we will see another season of Chamakh.

wasn't that supposed to be the case last year though as well when we signed Park and Gervinho?

I am interested in seeing Cazoola though. Lots of people on here seem to think he is the new Messi.

If Podolski can play centre forward and get goals the situation is not as bad as I thought.
33 goals in 88 games for Cologne is good but not amazing.

Would still prefer one more striker added because I have little faith in Chamakh.

Simple solution

Sell RVP

Play Walcott up front out and out striker

Perhaps Wenger will (at long last) try playing theo through the middle - He said this would be (theo's) eventual position...and we all know Theo has been waiting for his chance to play there....I can't see him being any worse than on the flank/s - His pace would perhaps be better utilised with him running straight at defenders where he can go left or right of them, whereas on the wing he either has to come inside or try and pass between them and the touchline

It could be his opportunity to eventually step up.!?,,,,though of course he has no ability in the air - mind you camel was supposed to - and he's been awful.

So Ox and Pods or Myaichi (though I guess he's off on loan again  ) on the flanks - with Giroud and walcott through the middle with Cazorla in the hole behind them...?

Sell RVP, sell walnut, sell song, sell bendtner, sell chamakh, sell park and sell diaby and invest in proper quality cos with the exception of rvp none of these c**ts are good enough to play for Arsenal Football Club :x

Fixed that for you Sammy :barscarf:

Attacking midfield will be interesting; Cazorla, Gervinho, Oxlade-Chamberlain can play anywhere in the front three.
Walcott either side or up front, Podolski left side or up front.
Santos left wing.
Plus Aneke, Eisfeld and Yennaris trying to get a game.
