Van Persie saga, officially not extending contract.
Re: Van Persie saga, officially not extending contract.
It's probably already been said but if he does join them they'll have a strike force of Fatman and Robin

Re: Van Persie saga, officially not extending contract.
If United get him then Van Persie, Rooney, Hernandez and Wellbeck is a good strike force, offers a couple of sharpshooters and a couple of Number 10 type players.
As for a deal with Man Utd, it might be that they are the only club to have made a serious offer.
I would sell for £15M now; better than letting a discontented captain go for free transfer next summer.
Reckon it would be a fair price considering his age, injury record and the length of his contract.
I actually think that if we sell RvP then we should try to bring in another striker for this season whilst Afobe and Miyaichi are on loan but maybe we are to use Walcott as a striker from time to time.
Not sure it will happen though, Chamakh has yet to leave and I reckon Wenger has high hopes for Santos, Eisfeld, Gnabry and Aneke in attacking midfield roles.

Their fans sing about him being a rapist, about the manager who made him being a peadophile......and he wants to join them?
What's gone to this *word censored*'s head? Might as well join the fucking heebs!
What an absolute snake he's turned out to be. Wish we'd gotten rid when he was injured. Wenger is way too nice to scum who end up walking all over him in the end.
You've been here 8 years, you've captained Arsenal, you've seen how much we hate that club and their wanky fans, you've witnessed the injustice of that defeat that ended our glorious unbeaten run, you've seen the battles, you've seen the hatred infront of your scumbag eyes. And now you want to join them? How dare you...how fucking dare you.

But he just ain't playin for someone else - he's playin for the plastic Manc scummy bastards. If had've been someone else I wouldn't have minded as much. But the thoughts of 70000 cockney mancs singing where's ur captain gone is already making my blood boil

Re: Van Persie saga, officially not extending contract.
everyone knows RVP has gone, what has been so annoying is that yet again we have allowed pre season to be disrupted just so that we can get maybe an extra £2 million for his transfer.
no lessons have been learn't and how anyone can be at all optimistic of winning trophies with the current set up is beyond me. It is fairly obvious Walcott won't hang around much longer and when Wilshere gets fit he will also leave.
if any of the new boys settles in the PL they will be at Man City within 2 years.
once again the question has to be asked - who is to blame? last year I blamed the board, this year I think both Wenger and the board are to blame. this is why I am so annoyed.

When VP spouted off about the lack of ambition at Arsenal i think it hit a cord with all of us. However in the meantime the signings that have been made and hopefully the ones to come once Song goes, makes his statement look pretty pathetic.
A frontline up of Podolski, Giroud, Ox, Walcott and Gervinho ( i think he could come good in his 2nd season as like Koscielny you can see he is at least trying) with Arteta and Cazorla pulling the strings is as good as United even with VP.
Add to that Wilshere, a new DM to replace Song and dare i say a good run in the side from Diaby and i can see VP looking a right mug come the end of the season.
I was one of those crying out for signings over the past few years but i do think we have plenty to shout about this time.
So piss off VP, a bit part player who once played for Arsenal and now ex united.

Sparksy
do you really think that Arsenal have more chance of winning trophies than United this season???
United will have Rooney, Van Persie, Hernandez and Welbeck in attack
Arsenal will have Podolski, Giroud (unproven in PL), Chamakh
and Park
If Wenger gets the team in the top 4 again it will be the miracle to end all miracles

Spurs fans sang racist songs about Adebayor, he still joined them.

Red Member - maybe you should be a politician, i like the way you play with the words!!
I didn't say we have a better chance, only that we have a good shout this time round.
I also don't see Chamakh and Park mentioned in my piece. We all know they need to be shifted out to the Blue Square South .
Giroud, top scorer in the French league for an unfashionable french title winning team. Not to be sniffed at.
I have not been a Wenger fan these past few years but with the signings he has made, this year i believe we can do something. Top 4 is definately on although we all agree that we need to be aiming higher than that.

But it would be a deal that I would be well happy with though I would be suspicious of manure's willingness to sell him to us

Anyway it's bound to be crap
