Van Persie saga, officially not extending contract.

I guess he'll be wearing the number 9 as he did against Cologne, probably just waiting to get rid of Park...

That article suggests that once Carzola was bought Robins fate was sealed. Its quite obvious that every summer we sell to buy-the only question is if we will sell Song to Barcelona

Nothing like a bit of perspective is there mate ?

Cashly was a AFC supporting kid who came through the academy before participating in an illegal meeting with one of our rivals

The "used to like bus trips" togolese c**t downed tools on the pitch refusing to put in effort for the team in a bid to force through his departure

Dont even compare the two of those c**ts to a guy that carried us on his back last season especially when the club was in the midst of an absolute crisis. He never gave up on the pitch and you are bang out of order suggesting that he is anywhere near the level of cuntyness that the other wankers are and always will be

Lets be clear here.......there are no circumstances that should push us into selling him to the scum - we are not in the financial position that pompey are in so are not forced to sell him to ferguscum. If he is adamant that he wants out then it should be made clear that he can go but only on our terms and if he refuses to accept that then sit him in the stands for the year. There is no way that ferguscum would sell his best players to us and that is yet another example of the difference in ambitions of both clubs.

Any possibility that their noisy neighbours will come in and match their bid now ? I have always stated that I would rather he go to citeeh than manure and again if he doesnt want to go there then that is his tough shite
van Persie also supported us as a kid. He dreamt of playing for us and someone else, Ajax I think. Granted he carried us last season, but we could have fucked him off years ago when he was injured every season but we didn't, we stuck by him. How does he repay us? Wanting to join a massive rival with *word censored* glory huning fans partnering a *word censored* who ended our unbeaten run by diving. How many times have those *word censored* fucked us over? Notice how he wanted to go to United over City or Juve? He knows the fans will be hurting over this but he did it anyway, and I consider United a bigger rival than Chelsea based on title battles and said rooney dive in 04 so that makes him more of a *word censored* than cashley.

He deserves to be given abuse everywhere he goes after how he's fucked us over.

I am very relaxed about all this.
It is no news that we are a selling club, have been for decades apart from a golden spell 1995 - 2005.

Van Persie is late twenties, has a series of injuries, and we get big money for him.

We now have two strikers for the price of one.

It is not as if we were going to beat Man Utd to the title anyway; that will be when the stadium debt is accumulated in the bank, or IF a sugar daddy puts in money (Fair Play Rules permitting).

I am disappointed that ticket prices have risen and we are only marginally closer to the title.
I am concerned that we need another midfielder and left back.

But the penny dropped three years ago when repeated failures to replace Flamini and Gilberto showed we were "Opting Out" of the title race for the duration for the stadium debt repayments, and possibly longer if Kroenke decides so.

I want to win the Quadruple as much as anyone, but the harsh reality is that our club are not going to to push the boat out with the world economy in such a perilous state, and with major socio-political upheaval a possible reality in Europe within the next five years.

glad this is all over. i just hope his money added to removing his wage from the wage bill plus the future transfer of bendtner mean we can still sign more players.

not holding my breath though.

Dan_85 wrote:This one hurts. I simply can't join in with all those who are pretending everything is OK by saying "fuck him, he'll be injured by October". This is a guy who supported Arsenal as a kid, wanted to play for us, made himself our 8th highest ever scorer despite being injured for approximately 50% of his time with us, and the only people to blame for him joining our biggest rivals are those *word censored* running our club.

It's a fucking sad day for Arsenal FC and no mistake.
Spot on, blame the *word censored* Wenger for RVP wanting to leave and win trophies, the same with Nasri, Clichy and Fabregas, the *word censored* Wenger will never learn

The really sad thing is that I'm proper up for abusing Van Persie but I just know that when he returns we'll be at the arse-end of nowhere in the league and we'll just end up looking like spurs fans. The amount of former players (that are still playing) we hate is getting longer and longer. Modern football is passing us by
