Van Persie saga, officially not extending contract.

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Am loate to admit this but the amount of comments hoping rvp breaks his legs is embarrassing to me as a Gooner
Watching him wave at manure fans and posing in one of their tops was like a knife through my heart and I doubt if I will remain as calm about his transfer as I thought I would but there is no way I will wish an Eduardo or Ramsey injury on him

I'll be honest and say I don't want a sickening injury to happen to him. I really wouldn't wish that on anyone. If he's out for a few months and doesn't play us I wouldn't complain :barscarf:

Absolutely. That's the kind of shit one would expect from Stoke or the scum fans. If Van Persie scores a few against other teams and misses a load of chances against us then so be it. If he scores against us then his reaction will be worth seeing.

Let's show Arsenal class people. We are the aristocrats of football not the scum.

Agreed Chippy. I think people are (rightly) pissed off with van Staplec***/the board/Wanger and are just venting their collective spleens.

I hope he flops massively, Kezman-style, and subsequently ends up at VVV Venlo or somewhere getting barracked by the Dutch but I don't wish any injury upon his brittle ankles.

He's just the latest turncoat c*** to abandon Projekt Wenger and I doubt he'll be the last.*

*Song doesn't count

I've always said I wouldnt wish injuries on any player
(seen plenty here - including holier than thou Babs - wish worse on OUR staff)

yesterday my pished POV was 'hope he breaks his legs','hope his cock falls off' etc etc - thats obv immature BS

that said he spent half (more?) his Arsenal career injured
I can see how people would feel a sense of injustice if once he gets over those recurring injuries
through which he was supported, and paid, by both club and fans
its ManUre that see the benefit

reality is he's 29, look at his history, chances are he'll get plenty of injuries irrespective of social network rants or N5 voodoo dolls

and it does piss me off seeing our players wish him 'good luck' I def dont wish him that

Pretty easy for Arsenal to reap the benefit though isn't it?

Match his talent with similar talent, show a bit of ambition, don't give up, pussy out and sell your best players year after year.

3 point plan. Boom.

2001-2004 Arsenal? This never happens. The medium-average players jog on, Edu Wiltord and the like.

The blame for this and almost everything else the last few year falls squarely on the shoulders of Wenger and the board who have allowed the mediocrity to fester.

Don't wish to bang on about this, but it was mentioned in a report on Thursday.
RVP was not actually offered a new contract, how can he turn down something that was not available?
I hope someone gets around to asking Wenger directly, did you offer him a contract? maybe the next agm.

Exactly.

I know i'll feel pretty sick seeing him turn out in that shirt on Monday night but the worst part of it all is that him going there was all our own fault & was totally avoidable with just a bit of ambition. :(
